If we are not playing particularly well how do you explain the fact that we are still undefeated?

  • Heard a very strange comment after the game today, and if you are on here you should hang your head in shame

"I really cant cheer for us the way we have been playing this season"

seriously WTF, and you could tell it was not meant as a joke he was being serious

Could he cheer last year when we were battling relegation and CP got sacked?? If he wants to cheer for that again then walk 5 miles east to The Den. #ClosetWallFan
  • Our defense has been brilliant (Henderson Included), Igor has gotten himself into the top 5 in goals scored, and BP has really gotten us to work together as a unit. Our problem so far has been inability to finish games. Many a times we have gone up, they equalize and we don't find a winner. we were able to do it against wigan and then almost did it against huddersfield but other than that we've been unlucky. I'm extremly happy with 19 points right now and im very positive that we will improve. We just need to find a way to finish
  • I said on another thread that what we do, we do very well - very few teams have had any luck breaking us down in open play at all, and even when the ball does go backwards, most of the time it is for the sake of keeping possession and will be back up the pitch shortly. We are also very lucky to have a striker who I would back to score against pretty much any team given the chance. If Bulot picks more crosses like the one for the goal and JBG gets over his niggly injury, there will be attacking flair added too.

The main weakness is that by shutting down the defenders you can take out the midfield as well, they don't seem able to go and win the ball, only nick off loose passes. But that will come I think, it's a transition despite the good results.
  • We're painful to watch however you dress it up. I think we've had a lot of luck....

Sorry hoof, but if you think we are painful to watch, basically you don't understand what to look for.
  • Painful to watch?

Managing 1 shot on goal v walsall in the Parky era with a team made of whatever scraps the guy could get his hands on was painful.

We have players who follow a managers directions to make us hard to beat. Yes we have better players but this league has teams full of even better players who you need to respect in the fact you cannot let them have their own way.
