Head agrees with most of above. Strong defence should limit the damage to 1 or 2 -0. Or could we frustrate them for 90 mins and pull off the 90th min away day mugging????
After Saturday my mojo is broken, my discerning footballing knowledge has deserted me and I have resorted to consulting the teas leaves which was difficult because they're in bags now.
Difficult one to call is this .. Adams has Norwich playing tough and pragmatic as well as rather classy football .. good to see an ENGLISH manager coming good .. BUT .. not against us. Our defence (and keeper) is top class, midfield good, attack spluttering .. we are the new draw specialists .. Norwich have a spoilt brat, Olsson, at left back, I'd love to see Guomundsson have a right good run at him in the clash of the Norse Sssonnnnns and hopefully get Son Of Ol sent off again ... their midfield is very very good, our four will have to be right on song tomorrow ... Jerome has (at last) found a niche in Norwich & is starting to fulfill his potential, unfortunately ...... Mmmm, I am thinking myself into negativity here ... BUT:
I'm going to go for a repeat of the result the season we won the play offs! 'Twas an early season fixture on a Tuesday night and I think we won 4-0 with a Mendonca hat trick, although I can't remember exactly. So my hat trick hero will be Vetokele. Good luck to all who are going
Yes 4.0 it was. We were 3.0 up after about 30 minutes. That`s when we knew we were going to have a good season but we just didn`t know how good it was going to get. Phil Chapple (I think)got the 4th goal with a great header and Morts hit the bar with a good effort late on as well.
A combination of Catenaccio, Zona Mista & Rope-a-dope football, until the first goal goes in, then 0-3, (followed by a resounding win against Birmingham). Norwich is a bridge too far in our unbeaten run.
1-1 Vetokele scoring half way though the first half. Second half Norwich step it up though the gears we tire out and Cameron Jerome scores in the last 10.
Although 4-4-2 can be suicide against Norwich even if they go 4-4-2 man for man we be outdone.
We have to structure a performance and not melt. If Norwich beat us with classy players scoring classy goals then fair enough, what we mustn't see is any kind of disintegration. We have a game on Saturday and we must continue to play every game with focus and determination. When I saw TBH having to calm Bikey in the second half on Saturday it worried me that losing your rag is a demon about to be unleashed from some quarters (eh Bob?), we must not do that. Let us go to Carrow Road in a business-like way and continue to try to do our stuff. We have an unbeaten run to structure a performance around and we may escape defeat if we're at our best, a defeat will be a drag, but a melt down would be worse.
Blackpool kept 44% possession and also had the same amount of shots on target. I'm not sure if anyone actually saw all of the goals by Norwich but one was an own goal by Blackpool, one was a deflection and the other was a solo effort by their left winger Josh Murphy. Josh Murphy would not have done what he did against Blackpool to Solly or Gomez and wouldn't have scored past Henderson from that range imo.
I know they still won regardless and stats aren't everything and they have been impressive but I can't see them having an easy night with us. I actually feel pretty good about this game and more worried about Birmingham at home.
We have faced Norwich when they were top and hot favourites at the same time of year before - 1 October 88 Norwich 1 Charlton 3 - so for reasons that have got absolutely nothing to do with the current sides I go for that score tonight !
