I'm not one for transfer/loan rumours, life's too short to pay attention to other people's flimsy vain attempts to get noticed or agents' damn lies to get a bigger payday. However IF (and it is a sizable if) DB has been to the training ground recently and was at the game on Tuesday, why would he? There can be very few staff left from his time, Jason Euell and who else? Did his 2 years with us leave such a mark that he now chooses to spend his leisure time here too? Unlikely. He might just want the chance to play (much) more often than Lambert allows at Villa and after those transfer deals, signing on fees and years of mega PL wages he's happy to earn whatever a side might pay, it's not like he's ever gonna be short of money is it? If he wants to play for Charlton he can make it happen - the point about his body shape is valid but that's under his control too. DB + Igor would have the championship defenders copiously soiling themselves. Come on Darren you know you want to...
Doesn't Bent still own property, at the Dome? Perhaps he just took in a game, as he was staying in London.
Too many people expecting him to be as good as he was when he left. Can't see it, personally, from what I saw of his Fulham appearances, last season. Age and weight have caught up with him and he has made his money, so I can't see that we will be able to motivate him any better than Villa are.
We need someone younger, hungrier and on the way up.

“We have a policy where we are not going to pay ridiculous money for players just because they come from the Premier League." "
It's a fair point - if they want Premiership wages then they should be good enough to play in The Premiership
"As long as he knows where the goal is, I don't care about his sexual orientation"
