A fair point about the play-acting - we'd be better getting on with it.
Don't think Deeney would down easily unless he thought there was something.
Mind you we might have missed anyway!
Yesterday's game is a case in point @Super_horns. From around 25 mins on, Charlton had lost shape and Watford were looking strong. There was a number of cynical fouls and pull backs which disrupted the flow of the game. These were mostly by Watford players which disrupted the game. Being that Watford were looking stronger at this point it didn't make any sense. Charlton were able to get to half time and regroup.
Watford could have easily had 2 to 3 players sent off, the goal keeper for the penalty (which may have been harsh, but Gomez could have been easily seen as the last man), the elbow on Vetekele and Ekstrand (No 6) could have got his marching orders when the referee waved play on after his bookable foul.
Your right back is quick but falls over at the drop off a hat. Even Deeney looking for the penalty rather than trying to score is a symptom of it.
Maybe it will change with Garcia ? If Watford concentrated on their football and dropped the cynical challenges and falling over then the flow of their play would see them decisively overcome more teams.
Deeney went down far to easy for the pen shout. Was right in front of us and we all thought he could have got the shot away but seemed to wait for the contact,
Fair comments from Claridge there, can't fault him. Definitely time for bed
I thought so...at first! But basically damned us with faint praise...talked up Peeters saying a manager can only work with what he's got. We all know we need another couple of players but Claridge wasn't able to simply explain why we are fifth. Every week we score the same amount or one more goal than the other team - simples...and we've played some top teams in the league.
Henderson, Bikey and Ben Haim are looking better every game. And it is becoming more and more obvious that Moussa and Tucudean are not the answer. They will do for the moment but it is clear that the front six needs better players as well as more game time together.
Claridge can't explain what's happened at CAFC because he's refused to recognise that the first team is completely different with only Solly, Wiggins, Cousins, Jackson and Harriott featuring. I think he and others are looking through last season's perspective - it is only our opponents fans that fully recognise the transition as they comment time and time again that we are different gravy!
On the penalties, Vetokele might have been able to evade their keeper but the keeper missed the ball and Vetokele ran through the outstretched arms. it looked like contact on Deeney from the replay from behind the goal but not sufficient to take him out... this is not the view the ref gets so why go down? If that had been in front of the Jimmy Seed stand then perhaps another outcome but that's the luck element.
Claridge has only got 30 seconds to a minute to do a quick summing up. In that time he got it spot on in my eyes. To answer all that above he would need a) To talk for 3 minutes and b) to have a great knowledge of all 72 clubs which he's not going to have. It's a bit like me going on there and taking about Morecambe
whilst I don't go along with the "fls is anti-CAFC" I do think that if they are going to show "highlights" then it should be balanced. They could have given us another 2-3 mins and shown 2 or 3 of our breakaways in the last 10 mins, including Harriotts shot, which was on target & which the keeper needed to save. I was also disappointed they didn't show ANY of the bookings, 2 of which clearly would have should Igor's trickery & pace to get past their centre halves & their cynical fouling thereafter.......plus the off-the ball incident (which was right in front of the east stand cameraman) where Tucudean was taken out. Finally, the actual football coverage starts with Cousins winning the ball & starting the move to where the pen is won, but it should have shown the 10 sec action beforehand showing how he got the ball in the first place. Shoddy editing.
If you are going to show watford 4 cards, then you would have to show our 4 cards. Wiggins was the only one that was harsh. Buyens was cynical like all 4 of Watford's. Gudmundsson tackle from behind. Cousins blatant dissent(even thou i agreed with him).
More snippets than highlights.
Have Yoni's Buyens 3 pens all down the Jimmy Seed end, not been carbon copies. Gomes and the coaching staff did not do their homework.
If you've been at the game and seen it for yourself, and we've won - why would anyone give a toss about how the highlights are edited? Only if its bit of an ego thing to want to have everyone else watching what our single club are doing.
There is no league table for media coverage in the Championship. We won, get on with it and be happy.

There actually is isn't there? and we were bottom last year.
On first view I thought no penalty to both incidents and having watched the replays a few times now they both looked soft penalties to me
Deeney felt a slight touch and went down as a lot of strikers do these days, but the contact was not actually enough to knock him over in that fashion which makes it play acting IMO if not a full on dive.
Igor could have hurdled Gomes if he wanted, but chose to leave his legs dangling and waited for the contact from the keeper. He might already have been on his way down by the time the contact came. Again, it's a common sight in the game these days and many refs give pens for it, but it's something I'd rather not see happening.
TBH has had two penalties not given for fouls he has committed, he is better than riding his luck and giving those away and needs to learn it soon as that game should have been 1-1 on that penalty. Not sure how he got away with it to be honest.

Dave Kitson comes over well. Much better than all the other tw4ts
I like Leroy Rosenior, he says things pretty much as they are. It is the majority of "pundits" especially Robbie Savidge that do Match of the Day, (Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy excluded) that I find hard work.
Wonder whether the delightful Mr Evans thinks the judge in his tax evasion case was bias? Maybe the FA were bias when they accused him of falsifying players salaries etc etc.
He is a revolting turd of a man who has no business being anywhere near a managers job.
In September 2012, Evans was given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3,000 by the Football Association after being found guilty of "using abusive and insulting words and behaviour" towards a female member of Bradford City's staff.
And he moans about Rotherham not being treated fairly.

Such a refreshing change to Jacko. He looked like he was going to miss every time he stepped up towards the end.

Then I muted it when he started talking

Got his cock out as well. Allegedly.
In fairness I can't imagine he's seen his own one in a number of years so was probably just asking her to check it's still there.
