    WTF did I just watch

Showed all Watfords chances, none of ours at the end of the game and made us look lucky
  • Fair comments from Claridge there, can't fault him. Definitely time for bed

What chances? None of them led to actual shots on goal...

not true, Moussa's did, just more annoyed they made us look lucky and I don't think we was lucky it was a good solid performance

Some luck, bad finishing and great blocks and saves.

That could have been a penalty for them as got wrong slde of TBH and a little contact took place.
i said he dived at the time!

Fair play steve C, at saying we were brilliant at what we did.(defending)
Any one who was at the game knows we were under the cosh from the 30min to the 98 min,
with the odd break away which we messed up.(FM was pleased they did not)

I wished they had only shown the highlights from 1s half hour, but would not have been a true reflection of the 98 mins.

I thought we were very lucky! Good blocking and keeping yes, but we had the run of the green today
  • Anyone just see what Evina did? Oops.

not the cleverest thing he's ever done!

Saw Waggy involved in the celebration of the last City goal too.
  • Two goals for Obika at Swindon.
  • Llera concedes a penalty in typical Miguel fashion.

    No, it was lucky Paul.
  • Awful show. Terrible editing. Didn't show any of Watford's dirty tricks.
  • Sorry, what did Evina do then?
  • Is it me, or does Manish always sound disappointed if we win?

Is he a Palace or Millwall fan?

He is a Leicester fan. A smug arrogant one at that.
  • It's a thread about a highlights show, Paulie has to comment.

I bet if his nan was doing the highlights he wouldn't be moaning.

Thought that the highlights were fairly reflective of the game. It showed some poor Watford finishing from Deeney, Dyer and Anya.

The Deeney falling over from the Ben Haim challenge was a marginal penalty decision. Deeney really should have just gone for goal and not just looked for the penalty. It was minimal contact. Hopefully that will encourage Deeney not to look to fall over at the first opportunity the next time. Some chance of that within a Watford team who falling over at minimal contact seems to be one of their specialities. Don't know why they do it, it really undermines their overall flow as a team.

Great stops from Henderson. I thought that Claridge's comments were quite fair this show. Charlton worked really hard as a team off the ball and that provided the foundation for a great victory.

  • A fair point about the play-acting - we'd be better getting on with it.

Don't think Deeney would down easily unless he thought there was something.

Mind you we might have missed anyway!

The Football League paper (i know it's not the same as show) had no CAFC players in team of the weekend.
but had mcCormack of Brentford! Yet the Sun had Henderson and Solly in theirs.

I only ever buy FLP or SUN if we we win on a saturday, so as you CL know, not very often over the last two seasons.

    Half of this season already

We got extensive coverage, at the top of the show and there was even footage of the David Whyte tribute. Yet the Football League Show is still anti-Charlton in some eyes it seems!

Good coverage and honest views from Claridge.

I was sitting at right angles to Deeney when he went down, and it really did look pathetic like a whale flopping on a beach. There may have been contact but I think the ref decided he wasn't buying such a pathetic piece of theatre. I don't think he's a Captain either. A captain does more than just get in the refs face for every decision.

But you are a decent team and I expect you to finish above us unless we can get another quality striker in. Was glad to see the back of Vydra and not to see Forestieri at all.
