I actually think that Church could do a bit better in this set-up. Come on occasionally as a sub when his running will be an advantage against tiring defences. Also, he would not be under pressure to have to get goals.
With better players around him, I could see him chipping in with 5/6 very useful goals over a season and he could do a pretty handy job chasing everything down if we are trying to hold on to a lead late in a game.

I also have a vision for Church with the new impetus of quality we are bringing in and style of play we have adopted. It involves going on loan to Fratton Park until the end of the season, and using all his skill and talent to finish off this move by August 31st

agreed, he could well enjoy the lack of pressure and start scoring himself. Booing and jeering a player does nothing for their confidence.
Can't see this looking to good for Felix. Do you live near the land of bubble wrap?
If you watched QI you would know that cats can spread themselves and safely parachute to the ground from that sort of height. Not that you should test the theory on Felix.
I can't believe this hasn't happened yet. I'm gonna go bump up the 'if we don't get Delort' thread and 'if Delores signs put it on here' thread, just to keep us all intrigued
Don't think it will be done until Saturday at the earliest, no idea why.
If you search in vain, for any evidence that we have actually made an offer for this player, then that will give you an idea...
We clearly are interested, and discussions have held placem as confirmed by Peeters:
Bob Peeters: "Andy Delort is an interesting player, but at this moment he is still playing for Tours. I think something between the two clubs [is being discussed]."

"Hi, Katrien, this is Steve Parish, we have £5m budget and need a striker, who can you let us have?"
Let's hope it's not:
