The Academy looks like it will be an integral part to any plan that RD has with our club.
BP says he's going to look and see which players can move up to play for the first-team, so hopefully this means that will entice players like Gomez to sign a contract knowing that he may get a run in the first-team next year.
He didn't refer to his time with the scum as a shameful period of embarrassment to himself and his family , or slag them off for the bunch of keyunts that they are , so he's gotta long way to go to get in my good books
Well he would say that wouldn't he. Seriously though. Quite encouraged that both he and the club know what type of players are needed. Those words have cheered me up a little.

Reza is showing how quality doesn't mean everything which always worry me, if they're picking these players who have never set foot in England or played the English style of football, regardless of quality they may not settle in. Seems pretty obvious on the set up though, academy products and 'experienced' from elsewhere within the network I should imagine, inexperience is going to be my biggest worry, especially when we hold players like Solly with a very serious long term injury, Wiggins still recovering himself, we'll be a totally new team to the league some match days.
Actions speak louder than words, and there is very rarely anything too controversial in one of these 'pleased to meet you' type interviews but there has been nothing in what he has said the get upset about.
Welcome Big Bald Belgian Bob. I hope you are a raving success and go on to be considered proper Charlton.
A bit more in it and bit more reassuring than part one. Easy to talk about the premiership a lot more difficult to get there though. Like the sound of some of it and that Roland realises that the championship is a physical and the play more intense in the league.
"Good players and good skills are one thing, but you also need strength, pace and a good attitude.
“It is a very tough division and everybody can beat each other. You can beat the top team and then lose to the bottom team.
“The players who come in need to be up for it and they need to be suitable for the Championship.
“We are going to bring in players who know what it takes to play at a very hard level with a lot of good teams.”
I always support the Academy players getting a chance (sorting out the contracts vital though). I will be happier to see some of these players arrive / contracts confirmed and signed.
The flesh on the bones of these promising words is what is needed now.
“I also want to see the academy and which players we can maybe use in the first team. It is going to be a good mix of young guns and people with experience.

Actions speak louder then words now but he seems to understand what we need & the failings of some of the players previously signed/loaned.
Added bonus for me is his confirmation that he likes his teams to play passing football.
Love hearing that
Hasn't signed a Brazilian either, the bloke obviously hasn't got a clue

A very interesting & very positive conclusion to the interview with Bob. What on earth is not to like?
young "guns" is already getting annoying
If you were to pick your ultimate dream team, how many British players would you have in it?
My concern isn't with nationalities, but with qualities.
