    Coad on a hat-trick...
  • Virdi survives the hat-trick ball, but then:

    Virdi b Coad 0

    267 all out - Yorkshire's lead is 75
  • 75 is both better and worse than it could have been.

Much the pitch has been both a road and a minefield at once.

This season is the best our bowlers have performed for years.
Clarke and Morkel have been inspired signings.

And Mr Dernbach has performed his role exceptionally well this year. Only really in the side due to the absence of TC but has performed that role better than his average suggests. He has kept it very tight and built pressure to help the others take wickets.

We have a wealth of 'wicket taking bowlers' in the squad but not playing - Dunn, Meaker, Mcker, Pillans - I wouldn't drop him for any of them. The bowlers are clearly filling specific roles this year and it's working.
  • Anyone on here going next Friday.
Seven of us going (all Charlton).

Unfortunately the other six are supporting Kent.

    I need some back up.
  • On the TC thing it's slightly odd and no-one is sure what's going on.

He was initially announced as in the England squad but then not even mentioned when Sam and Overton were added to the squad to cover Woakes/Stokes being out. He was reportedly back with Surrey at Guildford but not around at Scarborough.

Some unsubstantiated rumours of an injury but surely that would have been confirmed if true.

Meanwhile it's been a long time since he has played any meaningful cricket. If England aren't gonna play him then they might as well let him play for us. A championship game for us would have benefited him before the T20 starts.

Unfortunately I can't make it. Enjoy.

    Thanks for the back up
  • 30-0 off 11 overs, so less than 200 runs now needed.

Still quite a bit of cricket to play tonight, making up for the delays yesterday.
