How many of you saw it at the cinema? I think most people, like me, have only seen it on DVD.

Shawshank wasn't a big hit when it was released at the cinema . Not until it went to Video did it become so big .

Shawshank is one of the most overrated films ever for me. A cheesy, hard-done-by story with cartoon like characters and a desperate attempt at Oscars. Soppiness does not equal depth.

It's half-decent but in objective terms it's nowhere near being one of the top films ever.

Yeah, but much as I'd love to flex my moviesnob biceps (and my list earlier is entirely genuine btw) I don't feel CL is the place for it

Have only seen WALL-e twice but it may move into my five if it is good after a few more viewings.

Some great choices but just don't get 'Remains of the Day' or 'Fight Club' as a popular entertainment or art or anything. All down to choice.
