    Nice one Beds

Like others have said to choose five is pretty much impossible but as of now it is

1 The Remains of the Day
    2 Taxi Driver
    3 Rear Window
4 The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
    5 Full Metal Jacket

My top two will definitely remain but others change all the time upon repeat viewings so could also have had:-

Most Kubrick, Hitchcock, Scorcese, Coen Brothers, Tarantino movies
    The Ipcress File
    The Italian Job
    A Clockwork Orange
The Life and Death of Peter Sellers
    O Lucky Man
    The Life of Brian

    Le Samourai
    Diva
    The Elephant Man
  • Options
    The Usual Suspects
    Double Indemnity
    The Devil's Backbone
    Brick

I will compile the CL top ten on Tuesday or Wednesday but already there seems to be a pattern emerging.

    Keep them coming.

    In no order -

    The Italian job (1969 one)

    Reservoir Dogs

    True Romance

    The Shawshank Redemption

Lock Stock and Two Smocking Barrels

Very hard to restrict it down to just 5, the above would probably change if I did it again tomorrow.

A toughere one but for me is:

    Life is beautiful
    O brother where art thou
    Field of dreams
    A few good men
    Stand by me.

All films I could watch over and over, none perfect but all have a way of burrowing into your heart

Incidentally, take a look at how many Stephen King adaptations appear in this thread (and hardly any are horrors). That guy can't half pen a tale. Must be loaded.

I'm finding this really hard to do as I keep changing my mind every time someone else posts their top 5

    1) Planes Trains
    2) Toy Story
    3) Back to the future
    4) Star Wars
    5) Shawshank Redemption

That's in no particular order, some have dated better than others, some remind me of times in my life as well as originality, I could have put Grease, The Godfather,Private Ryan or the bucket list in their quite as easily.
