silly billy.I assume you are joking about "policing" of where people sit.I seldom sit in the seat I have bought at the valley since relegation and smaller crowds.Buy cheap seats ,sit in expensive ones. This works in theatres as well.Best place I ever found was the Athens[2004] Olympics[where most stadia were almost empty] we bought £10 tickets and sat in £50 seats .The valley will be no different .
No mate, I wasn't joking as I'd be really pissed off if I'd forked out 500 big ones to sit with my elderly mates under our cosy Ovaltine stained blankets only to find myself being pestered by a bunch of ruffians who had paid a third as much. All of that said, I'm not naive enough to think for a minute that it won't happen big time or dishonest enough to pretend that I wouldn't do it myself. And I also think that A and B block could be an absolute hoot if everyone stays in the seats they have bought. The club have set themselves up for a kicking with this as it is utterly unpoliceable and a lot of people will get pissed off. No matter though as we are all happy campers with nothing to worry about at the moment :-)

I'm glad you have pointed this obvious fact out - Yann was trying to make me out to be some sort of fool for suggesting as much a few weeks back. But he doesn't see things the same way as some - he expects everybody to be like him! But if they were all like him we probably wouldn't have a club to support. The reason we do is because we have fans like Airman. The tone of some posters on the site in relation to him troubles me. Maybe you don't know the history - but Airman played a key part in some really amazing stuff in relation to building support not mentioning the part he played (along with others of course) in getting us back home!
Support will be taken from all sorts of people. Until they find a way to clone Yann87s who will never question and go whatever is going on with the club - the club will have to attract both the committed and less committed. I am committed - I have been supporting the club since 1975 but in a way I am less important than those who decide that Dulwich is a better option than going to the Valley. Why? Well I would still go if they employed a bloke to hit me on the head with a hammer as I walked through the turnstyle - I have been hooked - but to thrive the club has to find a way to keep those that will turn their back (financial reasons not included). As a fan, I am happy that this happens as ultimately I want what is best for my club! That is the thing that some supporters who look at things too simplistically seem unable to understand.

You don't know nothing about me before you start getting personall ! I suggest you pm me if you want to dicredit me like that again pal !!!
Do you want to look back at the post where you discredited me when I said the season ticket offer wasn't great for fans who were paying more -Unlike that post - If you read mine carefully I was not criticising your loyalty - in fact I was acknowledging it - but making the point that not everybody is like you being willing or able to support the club unconditionally. I do apologise though - I should have given a generic rather than specific example.

Well this line here -
But if they were all like him we probably wouldn't have a club to support.
I find really insulting until I see the club in trouble no I wouldn't act but if I thought there was seriously a problem I would be one of the first to protect it!
And when you talk about your first quote it was " even the season tickets are too cheap " And I said , I don't know any other fan in the country that would moan that the season tickets are too cheap .
I think you listed positive things you wanted me to comment on - one being the season ticket pricing - I stated that I don't think people paying more in the same stand would be that happy and you then posted an incredulous post to discredit my stance as if it was ridiculous- which it isn't as clearly some others agree with it - whether it be right or wrong.
I did apologise for not replying in a generic way however, which I accept I should have. That episode irked me a little more than it should have done clearly. The club needs supporters like you and the more the better - As it needs ones like me - with different stances we both go whatever -but it needs the less committed ones even more - they are the ones who will push us on - we will always be there. So I don't think we should criticise or judge them - but try to encourage them.
Just done mine. 15th year running, although I'm sharing (the pain/joy) with my lads and going 3 ways. There's always seats next to us that are free so we can go match by match for other games as a group.
Our 8 got tickets for block A, hopefully it's not too hard for us to find a group of empty seats by the half way line.. Be a shame if we can't sit together.

If I was CAFC, I would colour code the tickets & S/T's, in line with the pricing plan and then have stewards at the entrances to check them. The middle blocks are usually fullish in any case.
Mind you shine, I think you're joking in any case.

Yer I was joking, there are 6 of us really .. I added 2 more for effect
Got mine yesterday. Extra bits of gumpf in the envelope - but no handy little booklet of fixtures which I quite like. Forgot to check in the booklet - but I don't think there are any free tickets for friends and family like last year (not that I used them).
Have many others been getting late evening calls about not renewing? 8:30 is a strange time for them to be working.
I'm now officially on record as 'waiting to see what happens' before deciding if I buy. I should have asked about Belgium in preseason though, damn it.
Ditto. I'll almost certainly not but before the season starts. It's not like they're going to sell out is it? Might buy a half season one at Christmas if I'm missing it.
What was it that changed your mind, Stone? Surely not the pre-season form?
