  • The self contained pump room poposed (temporary) was due to be installed commencing 19th May (according to the programme provided to the RBG) I doubt it could have been constructed assuming the order for the works was placed in late April, for installation by that time. It is proposed to be sited in the west car park close to dwellings so perhaps there has been objections. Just a thought.

Don't think the company doing the work is British.

It's Premier Pitches who are Sheffield based

    Dutch it is.

  • Any news or pics of what's happening at The Valley ?
  • Well my housemate is playing a match on it tonight with his company so there clearly hasn't been any work done yet!
  • Work starts on Monday.
  • This was taken last night.
  • Looks a mess, how much do they charge to play on it?
  • Has the club considered setting up a webcam so we can all see the transformation or will there be a blog with pictures?

According to the project plan which was included with the documentation submitted to Royal Borough of Greenwich, the work starts on Monday 19th May with it due to finish during week commencing 7th July. Doubt we will see any activity until Monday....
  • Soccer six is at the valley this sunday, so definitely wont see anything happening until after then.
  • I played on the pitch on friday afternoon. It was even worse than I expected.
  • I could be any of the current playing squad as well

    Good shout that Del.

Unless there are 175 of us splitting it equally then we aint paying that much!

87 a side with a spare to referee.

Or one team has a sub (that'd be telling you something wouldn't it....)
  • Undersoil heating network in place when the new pitch is laid.

Little frost throughout the year (as this year) then no problems.

Forecast frost for three days prior to a home match then a simple 'phone call and mates rates for a few days.

I would rather spend the Summer watching the grass grow at The Valley than lose sleep worrying about who we are going to sell and buy!
