Probably because of any effect the works themselves may have on the people that live close by during the works , noise and such.

Let's hope the application is quickly accepted, we don't want some jobsworth delaying the approval until August!
Under soil heating, in retrospect, it was surprising we never installed such a system during the PL years.

So do I understand from this that there is an open public tender for the work, and if so, why would that be run through a Council website?

Agree. Very good news and well done Roland for funding it.

Seems to start w/c 19 May and finish W/C 7 July. Not sure if that includes the time it takes for the pitch to "bed in".

I'll have a bet on our first league game being away from home.

No i dont think so PA. I think private tender process, TGMS preferred option and now chosen for cafc, firm plans now at planning permission stage

PA It is the specification document that was used in the tender process.

The bit where the East Stand lineman stands definitely needs to be 3G as that section is always completely worn away!

Presumably the mass removal of 1.5 metres of waste from the pitch can just be used to fill in the West Stand Car Park potholes.......

But seriously that looks like it should be an immaculate playing surface.
