Just to clarify, can you renew tomorrow, after the Yeovil game, or is today the last day?
There's a rule for this: Always renew (or buy away tickets) before entering the stadium to actually watch a game. Because you sure as hell won't sign up afterwards. This effect lasts for a minimum of 36 hours.
Just filled it in, note that I filled in both "current ST holder renewing" and "Likely to buy ST" ones because I am getting one for my girlfriend as well.

Not renewed yet and am very undecided for many of the reasons that HarleyPete mentioned and how much time I will have to see games. If I have to move due to renewing late then so be it. I am not going to be rushed into the decision by sales tactics. If the hike in price is significant after the deadline then that will make my decision made a lot easier for me.
At the moment buying a book of 5 or something like that for different games is looking like a good option. If that is not available then it would be single games, though ticket collection can be a pain. It should be like cinema booking when you can book your seats or be able to pick where you want to sit.
Has anyone considered the possibility that prices should be lower not higher after 9 April?
If sales have been disappointing so far and we lose to Yeovil then the rational response may be to lower the prices. However the wording of their original announcement probably rules this out, though I don't know why they limit their flexibility in this way.
I am looking to book a holiday at Xmas and prices for the hotel I am keen on are changing all the time - I am not guaranteed that prices will only go higher if I don't book now (and nor do I expect to be).
I think the crucial point here is that the club need to rely on early purchases for a whole host of reasons. If they, just once, reduce the price after the early bird discount many will never buy early again. This makes it, virtually, impossible to do anything other than rise the price after the deadline.
I agree with many of the concerns and fears about what the future holds though I am personally in the "let's give it a go and see" camp. I have bought a season ticket early after a "year off" doing pay as I go due to personal circumstances and my perception that I was not going to get value for money under the previous regime. I had a £525 ticket in east block D. The arguments that I was going to consider over the summer about ST or no ST for next year were simply blown away by the offer of a £250 ST for seats that we really like. (Upper west front row) so we just bought them. But it is now a season on season decision. Roland has cast his die. If my ticket goes up considerably next year and I don't like the vfm position then I will reconsider. Likewise if the Belgian experiment goes tits up I will reconsider. But for now its a total no brainer for me.
Just renewed online....took two mins and £520 gone from my account... Really wasn't that bothered about it: I have hardly been this season due to other commitments and have actually found that a) I didn't mind missing the games (my life still went on) and b) the few games I did see were 'fairly entertaining' in that - even if we lost - I wasn't seeing us lose every week, so it never felt quite so bad.. Felt that I had to renew though as when I do go, I go with my dad, so not renewing means I won't see so much of him if we're not at football together.. The real downside of this strategy though is that I am currently running at a cost of about £60/£65 per match seen...(I can't just pick my games as one of my seats is on the aisle, so my dad with his dodgy legs can get in and out fairly easily....)
We do it because we are supporters. We pay good money and many of us will be dragging ourselves to tonight’s game with the expectation that the result will spoil our week. It is what supporting Charlton is all about more often than not. But you get the odd occasion when the team puts in a performance and everything becomes right with the world.
It’s a bit like paying for somebody to kick you in the teeth – but what pleasure do you get out of that? – when he misses of course. Let’s hope he misses tonight!

You sure know how to treat a lady!
I do indeed, she hasn't left me (if you catch my drift) alone since I announced that I was getting her a season ticket (In E block don't you know)
She's Welsh though so I use it to show her how awful her fellow countrymen are at sport (I told her Wiggins is English)

Same, done mine and 1 for my middle lad as well, I knew I would, I didn't want to but I couldn't help it, I need help! I'm so weak! Anyone know of a helpline that can help my Addict(ion). ;o)
I had my credit card companie's security phone me this morning asking about a transaction they believe to be fraudulant, and they had blocked the request, It was the Charlton ticket office trying to renew my season tickets the person on the phone sounded suprised when I sais it was Ok to let the payement go through. A few minutes later I had the Charlton ticket office on the phone saying my credit card had been blocked, I told them it had all been sorted and try agian, I have heard no more so I assume everything is Ok now.
Got an SMS, texted in STOP as per instructions, got a new one the day after. I'm sure that's illegal. I don't need the club texting me to remind me of this, I already get their e-mails!

Interesting. Pretty much the same for me CC company said CAFC had tried to put the payment through three times and it and my card had been blocked. Person from the card company said they had me scheduled to be 'phoned to discuss. I asked what had caused that and they said they didn't know. Me and the operative speculated that it was a large(ish) round sum amount and that there had been recent (away ticket purchases) but much smaller amounts from the same merchant. Anyway, card now unblocked. In the meantime, I'd had a call from the club and just gave them details for a different card which went through fine.
@CAFCOfficial The deadline for early bird prices is this evening. They will now go off sale for a short period and then we will make an announcement on when they are back on sale and prices soon after.
Had one of my 'heads' today so Mrs. M rang to renew for my son and myself. After she'd made the call she said 'All done but a waste of six hundred quid if you ask me'.
'Six hundred? I only wanted the two seats not the whole block!' I said (perhaps a trifle loudly).
' She said , a trifle huffily, ' I just renewed your existing seats like you asked'.
'Did you make sure they knew I was of mature years?' I asked patiently.
'No, why should I ?'
'Cos it's bloody cheaper' I said feeling my head getting worse and looking for my pills.
'No need to swear. Anyway they should know that shouldn't they ?You've been going there for sixty years.'
There followed a full and meaningful discussion and eventually she phoned the club again. After much to-ing and fro-ing we made another payment and they agreed to refund the first one. 'Thank you very much my love, I said 'I'll make you a cuppa.' Then I had a lie down. Don't life get complicated!
Comments
1) working Saturday next year so won't be able to get to all matches
2) can't afford to pay to renew it
3) football is crap.
Season tickets will stay the same in league 1. Will go up by 50/75 quid in areas for adults. Kids prices won't go up.

However we do know that if you do renew by tomorrow then you can keep your existing seat now and "going forward" even if it is in the Crossbar bit.
Still, see you there next year!

If they go up too much after today we'll probably pick and choose our matches.
