About as stupid as someone who has said or done something with absolute certainty and assumed authority only to be proved absolutely wrong......?

A thoroughly decent bloke who, despite being crapped on from a great height from his previous employers, has always shown great dignity.

Deserves the opportunity at Brighton and wish him all the best. As long as they don't beat us of course.
  • Well almost a year on and Brighton are top of the League and unbeaten this season.

No superstars, no player with more than half a dozen goals yet only one side has scored more. Hughton has also demonstrated an ability to make the right signings at the right time (loans of Wilson and La Parra for example have made an immediate impact) and to get the best out of what he's got.

Hughton was appointed 12 days before BP was sacked and it's such a shame RD didn't have the foresight to have him on standby. There again Hughton isn't Belgian. Or a puppet.

And he had the good sense to appointment Nathan Jones as his first team coach and Ben Roberts as his goal keeping coach.
  • Brighton and Hughton is a prime example of what can be achieved by letting your manager mange within a budget.
  • A very good manager at this level. Terrible beard though

Tbf, his budget is a lot more than Charlton's.

    I doubt Hughton's spent much more than £9m ;-)
