i was in the club store when a coach load of Dutch guys turned up and brought cart loads of gear. They were later in the R Oak. No idea if R VN was with em but thats the time and the incident mentioned above.

I was flicking through some old Valley Reviews, and the 1990 home fixture against Liverpool featured a young mascot by the name of Liam Ridgewell, Same Bexleyheath birthplace as the footballer. Being a mascot would he have been a Charlton fan ?? He slipped through our net and signed youth for West Ham.
I think the story with Van Nistelrooy was that he had family in south london who took him down the Valley when he was visiting them. Would have been a useful ringer down Danson Park on a Sunday morning as well.
