Junior reds Fc

Hi everyone . Just a note to ask a massive favor . I coach the junior reds valiants u/11's . They play in the selkent u/11 A league . They have had a brilliant season so far and on Sunday are playing the the league cup final .
We were lucky enough to win 16 tickets for Saturdays game via Andrews air conditioning . On top of this the boys are going to be on the pitch before kick off at around 2-45 . All I am asking is if you are there could you make it as loud as possible for them when they are introduced .
Thank you all in advance .

In a palace top ?????? Wtf

  • that palace top is out of order

and... not criticising, but why would junior reds be wearing united and liverpool tops!!!?
  • Siv
Because not all of them support Charlton easy answer .
  • Yep the palace top is out of order . And trust me he got a ribbing for it

  • are you playing Phoenix in the final ?
  • are you playing Phoenix in the final ?

Silly question Steve. Course they are!
  • but... i thought junior reds were young Charlton supporters.... like junior members of supporters club

honestly not trying to dig out a bunch of kids, but why play for junior reds if you aren't a charlton supporter?
  • It's a junior football club Siv, not a Charlton Supporters Club.

Sad fact is even in the local areas, very few kids support Charlton

As saddening as it is this is just reality. A woman i work with, her son had been at Scunthorpe Utd academy for 4 years until being released this year aged 16. He was gutted about not making the grade there as he travelled to train 3 days a week plus matches, so basically 5 days a week outside of school times. It's a huge commitment by parents. He had a choice over Leeds or Scunthorpe to join 4 years back and chose Scunny as he was advised that he'd have a better chance of making it there, but is now just an academy statistic. Anyway he is a Chelsea fan living in Doncaster.

  • So they are not selected from the Junior Reds? Is that still the name of our kids' club?
  • Young Addicks mate
  • so what's the link to the club ?
  • There is no link apart from when it was formed it was all Charlton supporters . But the club has grown so much with 50 teams competing last season .
So it's inevitable that not all will support Charlton .
And yes northstandsteve we are playing phionex . The league and cup is between both of us so it's been a great season for both teams .
There are some great footballers in both teams and I think a few would be impressed with the standard of football .
Thanks for all the views and comments
  • i think i get it now

supporters club junior branch used to be junior reds. now it's called young addicks.

junior reds football team started out as junior reds members back in the day.... but over time has evolved to have 50 teams in different age groups and has inevitably become not just cafc supporters.

yeah... i can see how that would happen

    fair do

so... it's not really a charlton team at all any more then.

    I'd still clap em, mind
