If fit, an unchanged back 5 picks itselfs, chiefly through lack of options, Wood is an adequate deputy at CH.
Sodall, Green and Callamity have obviously played their last games for the club.
Poyet and Cousins in the middle. If Astrid is properly fit he could be risked on the left although that leaves Wiggins completlely exposed, same to be said for Reza, Jacko provides cover and decent passing but no legs to get by their RB Tudgay should do a shift on the right. If there are to be 2 up top we're left with Obika and Church - signs on Tuesday that this could develop. If we're gonna start less adventurously Jacko plays in front of the youngsters in a fluid 4-3-3 with the ball 4-5-1 without.
Even without Ings, Burnley will pose plenty of threat and Dyche is tacitcally very astute, so we might as well try to keep up with their scoring cos there's no value in trying to hold them for 90 minutes and steal an injury time winner.
I'd start Hamer; Wilson,Morro,Dervite,Wiggins; Tudgay,Poyet,Cousins,Astrid; Obika,Church with JJ,Wood,Pritch,Reza,Nego and the youth team goalie on the bench
Are you referring to Harriot as Callamity? Useful to know because if not, I might be bothered to read the rest of what you have written. Anyway, Sordell has done ok under Riga so where you get the obviously bit is anybody's guess!!!
We generally seem to raise our game, at home, against the better teams so I think we'll give Burnley a tough challenge. The defence is looking strong and with Ings out, I think we could sneak this 2-1. Harriot up against Trippier would be a mis-match and for that reason, I think Riga might play Jacko on the left, AA in the middle and move Wilson to RM with Nego getting a game at full back.
A real tough game for the tired Addicks. I think we will play well in a 3-1 loss as Burnley continue their march. I think results elsewhere are key. It would be sickening if a gap opens up again with our next 3 games coming up.
I think everyone must admire what this club has done this season. I would rather a club like this get promotion than a club like QPR, Leicester and all the others that are spending what they like and sticking two fingers up at the FA. Saying that I still want to beat them.
Off on my postponed honeymoon soon so this is my last home match until the end of April when our position as a Championship club should hopefully be assured! So I'd like to see a positive result (wouldn't we all) but at the very least give Burnley as good as we get. The feel-good factor should help us but gut feeling will be a 2-1 reverse. A draw or win will mean the Mrs. is going to have a really good honeymoon!

Honeymoons seem much longer than those in my days
I'm confused...are you BOTH GreenWithEnvy??? ;-)
Toughest game so far for Jose, but we seem to have a knack of upsetting the upper-ranked clubs at home. I'd be happy with a point...deliriously jumping around like a loon again with a win! COYR!!
When we were in the Premiership I always used to patronisingly tell my Lancs relatives that I was "fond" of Burnley and they were my "second team". I thought they'd be grateful. I was at our 3-0 thrashing at Turf Moor and they were very nice about it, considering.

I agree with this - although beating them today shouldn't set them back too much - we need the points more than they do.
Losing Trippier is a bigger blow than losing Ings as our attacking threat is now much reduced. If Charlton keep Vokes quiet, it could be along afternoon for Burnley. I'd take a point, hopefully avoiding any more injuries, and then go for three points at home to Doncaster on Tuesday.
Yes, tell you what.....don't take any points today, get the 3 at home to Doncaster - you'll be ok - we'll wish you well and everybody will be happy - right?
Interesting weekend, lots of Clarets to go and visit if we get the right result. I detect a certain nervousness in their texts. Nerves setting in now, as I helpfully explain lose today and gap starts closing, key players out for the run in...... There were no foul mouthed tirades just a kind of tacit agreement. Strike now mighty reds, there is a chance here.
We're at the bottom for a reason and they are at the top for a reason. Just like a table in a newspaper things can be turned upside down. Tight 2-1 win to Jose's Addicks.
You might find that with Trippier and Ings being out our play will be more direct. Longer balls than normal up to Vokes to hold up play. Might not be as pretty as it would normally. Don't judge our entire style on this game as it's not normally like that, but I suspect we'll go that way today, especially considering the pitch too.
As Lancs said, and I have previously, losing Trippier is more of a blow than Ings, believe it or not due to the attacking threat.
Can't make this one today which is a pity. Hard to call. I'd dismissed it as a certain loss but we are on a mini roll and burnley have key players out. You never know. Could go either way. A lot depends on our team selection. Play like we did second half on Tuesday we've got a chance.
Having trouble seeing anything but an away win. We will huff and puff for an hour but ultimately I think they will have too much quality and confidence to contain for 90. Don't think we will lose by more than one though.
No team in this league is unbeatable and with our new found belief we are more than capable of getting a positive result! As said by others, results elsewhere will be crucial today!

Would take a point now if it was offered.
