I would like to see Obika & Sordell start together up front, I'd like to see how they compliment each other, both look for a through ball but playing with their backs to goal is not a strength of either.
In other games;
Big Yan can do us a massive favour on Saturday at Barnsley and I'm sure he will.
Burnley really are having an amazing season. I felt like most that would tale off and the bigger squads would come into it. If anything Burnley have got stronger, Sean Dyche was some appointment.
Barnes is an able deputy. The more worrying news from our camp doesn't involve Ings, but Kieran Tripper our full back. He has the most assists in the league this season, but is rated doubtful with a tight hamstring. With having Barnes, the Ings situation doesn't overly worry me, but the Trippier situation does.
Trippier is quality - and I day I say it, better than Solly...
Burnley have had an excellent season and Dyche deserves credit, but it is worth remembering that they scooped £4m for Austin and are enjoying the final year of parachute payments from their last stint in the Premier League.
Fancy a draw at least if the defence continue to be so solid.
I'll go for a staid 1-1 and will be happy with a point as it stands, but hey, I'm going!!!! Have'nt been since Huddersfield in the cup last year, so can't wait for this one.
A win in this one will be so big. Can we do it? Yes, I think so but it goes without saying it will be hard and we will probably need the run of the ball and a decent ref (from our perspective).
Our record at home v better teams is pretty good this season, w3 d2 l1 of the top 8 with burnley and reading to come. Some on here may be too pessimistic, fancy a draw but a win is possible, in poyet we have one of the best players in the league right now

This is true to an extent - and both Cousins and Poyet will be better than any midfield this league has to offer - but they are very young.
It's not a time to start experimenting with formations Jose has to stick with the 4-2-3-1 that's seen us keep 3 clean sheets. Against Huddersfield we had enough chances to win 3 games and we created a few chances against Bournemouth. If we're to get anything from tomorrow we have to take our chances.

This is true. When you sell a player for fees of this size you often receive payment over 3 years, so we're unlikely to have seen most of it yet. We received £8m this year, again spread out, but due to the PL legacy, and low income, it means we still have nothing :-/
We've been trying to fall in with the FFP since relegation and, by the sounds of it, we'll break even this season, but have had to sell Austin and Rodriguez recently to ensure that happens.
If we don't go up I'm hoping that conveyor belt of good young players continues or we'll be playing a division lower before long.

That's great to know. With our defense looking so solid at the moment, maybe one point or even all three isn't totally impossible. Poyet and Cousins are young and the thing I fear most is the kind of crashing down we had in the Sheffield United game (of course not saying it was the youngsters' fault). If we manage to hold on for the first 60 minutes or so, mabybe, just maybe we can get something from this game.
That said, I'm still emotionally prepared for a loss. If we lose, no heavy defeat is all I ask for. Otherwise it would damage our only recently restored confidence.
I feel good about this There seems to be a bit of confidence about us now And rightly so Think obi is going to be massive for us now There is optimisium in the air Lets realy get behind the lads tomorrow Coyr

You certainly seem to have the midas touch when it comes to strikers!

We've certainly been blessed with saleable striking talent these past 7-8 years. Whether we've nurtured them or just managed to get the best out of them. Off the top of my head:
Ade Akinbiyi (bought for £500K, sold for £1.7m) Andy Gray (bought for £750K, sold for £1.5m to you guys) Steven Fletcher (bought for £3m, sold for £7m) Jay Rod (youth set up sold for £6.5m) Austin (bought for £1m, sold for £4m) Danny Ings (bought for <£1m...)
Could do with that continuing!!! I'd imagine we've signed a few duds too though.
We do seem to play better at home against the best teams, ie Leicester 2-1, Wigan 1-1, Forest 1-1 and Brighton 3-2. Really hope Jacko and co. can raise the whole teams game and give us another win. Hopefully confidence is up after Tuesday!

And we do well with our midfielders. Imagine if both our clubs had a little from each other we both be heading to the prem together!
just got a good feeling about this one. Ings is out and they got a lot of luck against leeds. they are due some bad luck and we are going to take advantage of this.
we need a strong left hand side because trippier is a great attacking full back at this level. lets see if we can get him sent off again.
obika has to start and its difficult to know what to do with harriott. if he is fit then dropping him isnt going to help his confidence in the short term. the only outright public-relations mistake ive ever heard from SCP is his criticism of harriott after Sheffield. that was most unstatesman like,,, and i think it showed in his wretched start to the game on tuesday.
we are capable of bossing them for legs in CM with cousins and poyet but where do the goals come from?
What Dyche has done is made them fit and strong, then improved the quality. A good recipe for the Championship, and if you have strikers who know where the goal is you are well set. But they are not world beaters and I'm sure we'll match up to them pretty well. The big difference might be that they know how to win better than us, but this is a game we can definitely win and I expect it to be close.
Burnley are one of the best , if not the best teams in this league , so on paper we should struggle. But this is Charlton, so don't be surprised if we pull off yet another win against a top team

Also Danny Shittu is out for the season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26656352
Kieran Tripper - aptly named!
Can't see us getting anything on Saturday.
