You're embarrassing yourself and blaming someone for something which is clearly, for the most part, not his fault. In other words, don't let the door hit your a**e on the way out.
you're calling other "fans" drips and yet you're going to boycott games.
true supporters will get behind Charlton Athletic.
it is sad that CP has gone but is it really a great surprise. yes, he was given a rough ride over the past couple of seasons but with the situation as it is now, clearly the new owner and CP did not see eye to eye. i am more surprised that CP didn't resign first.
i am sure that CP will be successful in whatever he goes on to do.
but as a fan base, surely we have to offer our support to CAFC no matter what.

I agree, now more than ever we must get behind the club, and the team, because it seems our owner will not. We've seen managers come and go, owners come and go, more players in and out than I can possibly count, but the one constant has been the fans. People are saying that Charlton is dead, well I disagree. As long as the fans are there, supporting THEIR club through good and bad, the club will never die. Never.
CB, find a way to get your point across without a mod having to edit nearly every post, please, otherwise we'll have to suspend posting. Today's a difficult day, please take a deep breath and don't make it more difficult, cheers fella.
Difference being, Liege are his main priority. CAFC are being allowed to go down the drain. My opinion long before the events of the last 24 hours.
This. CAFC a testing ground for Roland's punts - if Polish Pete does come good, he'll be shipped off to Liege pronto - and a shop window for players who aren't up to scratch (Thuram, etc). I presume that's why Powell was forced to play these players.
The only problem with this strategy is that Roland doesn't seem to understand that allowing shit players game time won't necessarily make them marketable assets. Also it will be commercial suicide for Charlton as a 'matchday experience'
I support my club and don't ever question me on that. I'd rival the majority of you on games attended home and away. Don't dare say I don't support my club. All I was saying, it's clear people are unhappy with today's decision, right or wrong, I support my club, not some 2bob owner that don't give a monkeys about what we care about . Yes results matter, I do love CP but I love Charlton more and. I always will. But I don't agree with what's I've seen so far!!! Is that alright with you lot?? If not I'll ask administration to remove me, sick of it
To be honest, my boycott started in the summer when I refused to re-new my ST and just pick and choose what games I attend now. The reason not being results, but performances. I can happily walk away from a match knowing we lost, but put up a damn good fight. What I can't justify is spending an entire afternoon thinking "This is utter shit/we're not giving anything".
No doubt many will see me as not being a true supporter, but for £25 I expect a bit of entertainment and a lot more effort. When the time comes that we've got a team of warriors again, I'll be back. Until then, I'll carry on choosing which games I attend or don't.........................

Gents and ladies today is the just day we should be digging one another out. Let people react the way they wish to, some may wish to avoid tomorrows game with everything being so raw, others will go tomorrow and shout that little bit more than normal. The point is we're all supporters and the majority are gutted by the news. We need to stick together
Charlton Boy comes across with passion and this must be applauded, but sadly with not much eloquence or logic; but it is his opinion and we must respect that, save the bad language. Sad day all round and we all have different ways and emotions to express our feelings. Me, I am still hurting from Sunday's abysmal performance and feeling angry with the whole saga of the last 36 hours.
Get a grip...look people can complain if we end up in League One etc etc but give Roland and Co a chance first. We are bottom for a reason, its not just ownership.
Wonder if this was a 'powell you play boring and unentertaining football and im boycotting all the games you c***' thread it would have been closed straight away...

Powell was and always will be a legend but something had to change.
It's never been easy being an Addick - let a new chapter begin

I presume that you are speaking as their leader !
BTW, most of us "drips" support the club not any individual.
UTA!
Good post swisdom.

how is boycotting games going to benefit the club and players and yourself?
totally understand your anger as it seems that what happened to Liege is now happening to us.
but no-one knows the motives of the new owner and whether, ultimately they will work.
but what if whoever the new manager is works a minor miracle and keeps us in the Champs?
would your boycott continue and if so, until when?
believe me, these players are going to need all the support they can get now.
The question is how much crap, as fans, do we take from owners, Tv Companies etc without registering a protest.
A Club legend has been sacked and some "real fans" think we should just lie down with our legs apart and wait for the kick.
I don't and neither do you.
