Be good to clarify this, or make it more visable to anyone not aware.
By some miracle, we somehow get through a couple of cup games and as well as some days out at Wembley, also manage to qualify for Europe. That we WON'T be able to participate in what we qualify for if Standard Liege qualify for a European cup (no two clubs in the same network can play in Europe).
Is that correct ?

Someone needs to clarify the Belgium Euro qualification system though, as even though SL will finish top, it goes to a 4 team mini league at the end of the season. I don't know how many Belgium teams can qualify for European competition through their league.
It won't happen anyway.
If Liege qualify for the European Cup as things stand we can not play in Europe.
Further, if Liege qualify for the Uefa Cup, we still can not play in Europe.
Think Enic may have fallen foul of this in the past.
May be possible to move clubs around to different family members to avoid the problem.
2 Zulte Waregem 10 4 3 3 20 20 0 47 2013–14 UEFA Champions League Third qualifying round
3 Club Brugge 10 6 1 3 21 17 +4 46 2013–14 UEFA Europa League Third qualifying round
4 Standard Liège 10 5 2 3 22 20 +2 42 2013–14 UEFA Europa League Second qualifying round
5 Genk 10 3 3 4 11 13 −2 40 2013–14 UEFA Europa League Play-off round
6 Lokeren 10 1 2 7 15 24 −9 31
This is how it finished last season, so considering Liege will take half their points into the final phase, we won't get into Europe next season even if we won the poxy thing.
Top 6 go into a championship group where they carry half their points forward from the main league. They then play each other home and away. Winner goes into CL group stages, runner up into CL play off round. 3 teams go into the Europa.
maybe play it at one of his other clubs so whoever loses can still say they had a day out in Europe
Surely we would be in the FA Cup Final before the Belgian league finishes?
That is why I think we would be out of it. Effectively the Champions and Europa League merge after the initial stages and clubs drop down . I'm sure Standard Liege will take priority.
Personally I am not that bothered , I think the first part of the Europa League is nonsense and a distraction for a club our size whichever Division we are in next year. Look at how it affected Wigan in the early part of the season.Harry Redknapp used to play his development side for these games,even our former loanee Dean Parrett got games.
People are moaning about the fixture pile up.Would we really want 8 extra games travelling around some obscure places in Europe in the early part of next season?
the competition, only one of them may be admitted to a UEFA club
competition, in accordance with the following criteria (applicable in descending
order):
a) the club which qualifies on sporting merit for the more prestigious UEFA
club competition (i.e., in descending order: UEFA Champions League and
UEFA Europa League);
b) the club which has the highest priority access by virtue of its performance
in its top domestic league championship and as indicated in the 2013/14
access list (Annex Ia);
c) the club which has the best club coefficient ranking as established in
accordance with paragraph 9.02.
9.02 For seeding purposes, rankings are drawn up on the basis of a combination of
20% of the value of the respective association’s coefficient for the period from
2008/09 to 2012/13 inclusive and the clubs’ individual performances in the
UEFA club competitions during the same period. Each club retains the
cumulative number of points obtained during this period.
I hope Roland has a plan and it works out for us, but at this moment I have my doubts. This network of clubs won't work imo. British youngsters don't often move abroad, the likes of the Ujpest, St Truiden and Jena are never going to big enough to make a network worthwhile. If you sign for Charlton you're not going to want to move to any of those clubs especially when you can get better experience playing in League One/Two
