    If we lose to Sheff and still go down, we can console ourselves with the possibility of the Johnstone Paint Trophy Final at Wembley.

    I have seen Charlton at Wembley, twice.

    FA Cup win is a once in a lifetime for us, I'd happily not get another point this season to see that

    Cant believe that anyone would say Survival ! - Wembley any time for me.
    Wembley is permanent, relegation is temporary.

    We wont get this chance again. I want to remember something special. Staying in the championship /league 1 vying for promotion is what Charlton have done for decades and sadly it wont change in a hurry.

    Survival , but if I had option of winning it then that all day long , final maybe because that would mean winning in semis at wembley and like others have said us going wembley doesn't happen to often .

    Wembley. It might never happen again for another 16 years.. We could survive in the Championship this year and go down the following season. Wembley stays with you forever.

    If you'd said championship survival and the cup final then that'd be a tough one. As it stands, the semi final is nowhere really and we'd quite likely lose it so i'd have to take survival.

    Yes Wembley is a rarity but how many people will look back fondly and tell their kids about the 6-0 defeat to Man City?

    Maybe it would be a good idea to revive this thread IF we get to the semis and get knocked out and see if any opinions change. A final would be a different question and a tough one.

    A cup final win, then yea id take that over survival all day.

    The semi final would probably be against a team that would comfortably beat us. Has to be survival. Far better than seeing Chelsea stick four past us at Wembley.

    Can Charlton just be a mid table championship club with no off field problems.

    It's the off field problems that always start the procedure of relegating us in the 1st place. It's happend 3 times.

    An FA cup run is not infront of the que before survival.

    Always league over cups unless you win the thing (and we have no chance!). A semi final would be a fun day out but not at the expense of being back to L1 week in week out.
