I just posted this on another thread but I have just compared our remaining fixtures against those of the Spanners in my view the three extra games give us an advantage as the run ins are broadly similar.
Both clubs have 4 identical fixtures Leeds (A),Forest (A),Blackburn (H) and Watford (H). They play Birmingham and Doncaster at home whereas we play Barnsley and Yeovil. Derby away would broadly match Wigan .Boro away is a good fixture for them in so much as they will not have much to play for .I would benchmark this with the our game against the Massives. QPR away for them matches Brighton away for us and Bolton at home would match Bournemouth.
By this reckoning our games in hand would be against Burnley (H) ,Reading (H) and Blackpool (A) on the last day.
The problem is, if we all predicted the outcomes of the games of the teams at the bottom for tomorrow only, it is highly unlikely we will get them all right. So multiply that over the remaining games and it shows that predicting points is a waste of time! We can say, we have a better than average chance of satying up – and that is probably fair – but that is as far as we can realistically go.
Barnsley v Bournemouth Birmingham v Reading Blackpool v Huddersfield Charlton v Burnley Doncaster v Sheff Wed Leeds v Millwall Yeovil v Bolton - draw?
Bold winners would be ideal, not sure about the last one a draw keeps Yeovil below us and Bolton still catchable.
Definitely need Bolton to win at Yeovil . I can't see Bolton being involved in the relegation scrap .
Yeah, I agree actually, maybe got a bit carried away with our chances, doubt catching Bolton is likely and more to the point I think of the 6/7 teams down there Yeovil are one of the most likely to escape.
So far, we have collected 8 points when 5 was predicted and Millwall have been the reverse. Barnsley have collected 9 when 5 was predicted Yeovil 6 with 6 predicted
Actually that was posted forgetting our 3 games in hand. No excuses if we don't stay up, we really should do. Barnsley and Birmingham will fight it out but cant see Brum going down.

Tonight is thefirst of them and where we have to turn games into points. Win tonight and things are looking very good.
The bottom four will be the same four teams as it stands now just before kick off against Leeds but maybe not in that order Charlton.Barnsley,Yeovil and Millwall. Millwall appear doomed so any two of above three.

Rather surprised that I have two new teams in the bottom three, but does seem to fit current form so who knows!

We are still ahead of where I thought we would be now. As the new thread shows Blackpool have the worst run in.
Blackpool V Derby Tue 8 Apr 20:00 / Leeds V Blackpool Sat 12 Apr 15:07
Blackpool V Burnley Fri 18 Apr 17:15 / Brighton V Blackpool Mon 21 Apr 15:00
Wigan V Blackpool Sat 26 Apr 15:00 / Blackpool V Charlton Sat 3 May 12:15
Blackpool have been dropping like a stone. There is always usually one club that gets dragged in.
