Yes if you pay your money you can come and go when you like. Surely though there should be an element of consideration for those around you?
I'm of an age whereby we were brought up to have the self discipline to stay in our seats if we were out until the appropiate interval in order to avoid disturbing others.
I don't really care about having to get up to let people get past me to get to their seats, that does not bother me in the slightest, especially if people are getting liquid refeshments as I have done the same thing heaps of times.
However, I am 100% with Rothko on this, what on earth is the point of leaving at the 80 minute mark when the score is 0-0 or 1-0 either way? As discussed above there are some exceptions but I just don't get that mentality at all, I am afraid. What do these people do at the cinema, wait until ten minutes from the end of the film when the ending is still unclear and then walk out? What about the supermarket, do they fill their trolley up and then get to the check out to pay for it and then just walk out leaving their trolley behind?
People can do what they like, its a free country, but unless you really HAVE to leave then why would you leave when the game is in the balance?
