We'll soon see how much we miss him if he's out for any length of time He was returning slowly but surely to his best and even at his worse he looked a lot better than the fleeting glimpses I've seen of our so called 'prospects' in that position but hopefully if they have a sustained run in the team they can build up some form
I'm gutted for Rhoys, seems like a nice bloke, plagued by Foot injuries, 2 assists in his last 2 games, I hope whoever gets the gig at left back does us and Rhoys proud, get well soon Rhoys.
We've got a few options. Fox or Jackson are capable of playing left-back. You don't have to be the quickest, as long as you've got cover in front of you and you aren't expected to bomb up and down the line. I'd go with Jackson and play Coq in midfield. That way, we get use out of Coq and we keep Jackson (an important figure) on the field.
Or we change the system completely and go with 3-5-2 with Wilson and Solly as wing-backs.
And if neither of these work, we can always go for Fox or bring THD back in a couple of weeks.
Don't think Coq will be used there as it would be a bit of a waste and wouldn't give Bob an opportunity to see what he can do in the centre. Most likely Fox but if Gomez is back then perhaps Solly on the left.
Not convinced by Fox just yet. Jackson would be my choice now that we have Coq in. He's played many games there, a fair few for us, solid defensively and fits the 'stay back full back' mold that bob likes. We have a decent number for the midfield with Harriot, Bulot, Buyens, Cousins, Coq, Moussa, Gudmun and Wilson.
Big chance for Foxy now to get a run of a few games. Thinks that sometimes the hard thing with a youngster breaking through, they feel under so much pressure to perform because they know they could be straight back out the side for the next game, they sometimes never get a chance to settle in.

You may not need to be the quickest but Jacko at left back versus some of the wingers in this division would be like a reliant robin v an F1 car. He would get murdered.
Personally, I would play Wilson Right and Solly left. Worked ok in our first championship season and also not convinced on Fox

Reckon your right there, as he finished last season playing well knowing Wiggins wasn't coming back, but against Fulham he looked nervous.
Really not sure about Morgan Fox. By no means a bad player from what I've seen, but doesn't really have a specific quality that add something new to the team like Rhoys' pace.
In truth, I'd rather we have someone like Solly playing on the left, and maybe put Wilson/Onyewu/Coquelin at right back.
I thought Fox was superb when he came in last season. In a below average team, he constantly provided an outlet and was comfortably taking outlet balls.
A real test of a youngster is when he's past that initial burst of youthful surprise/zest/fearless. Always remember Jamie Stuart tailed off alarmingly once the pressure of established first choice came on. I know it's not quite the same experience level for Fox, but not been impressed by him this season. He has the talent, I hope he succeeds.

I thought that was the effect of playing with Charlie or one of his mates! Weren't Reading about to buy him for £200,000 until the results of his tests came out?
On the point of Wiggins replacement, once Gomez is fit would BBB revert to a mid week right back of Gomez, central pairing of TBH and Beast and Fox, or do you think he would continue with Wilson replacing Solly?
I remember Solly playing left back at Millwall once.
That was a disaster I would not want repeated in 2 weeks time.
That was also four and a half years ago when he was 18/19 years old.
Fair comment. But has he ever played left back since?
When Wiggins had to pull out of a game (home to Bury or Rochdale, can't remember which on) in our L1 promotion campaign at the last minute Solly played right back, and it really affected the balance of the team as we struggled to a draw.
I don't want to see Solly at LB again. Fox or Holmes-Dennis for me please.

He does seem to have more than his fair share. Such a shame.

Shame really because Wiggins was in form but these young footballers got to snatch at the opportunity.
Fox to start against Reading I hope.
