  • Reported on match thread as pulled hamstring.
  • Another bloody nail in this season's coffin
  • Another 3 games he'll miss then.
  • There's a curse on our full backs !
  • Has Evina gone out on loan?
  • Just about sums us up.
One of our main players we actually got signed up pulls a hamstring next game. At least a month out
  • Any word on how long he's out for?

    I hope so
  • 3 games off .. cold weather ? .. perhaps he lost his 'match hardness' .. a similar thing happened to Aguero at Manchester City
  • I think 3 games is optimistic. Hamstrings are very tricky. My guess would be 4 - 6 weeks.

  • Will miss him being out. Typical that we lose one of our better players just when we need him.

lol .. I meant he'd missed 3 games prior to yesterday

Depends if it's a pulled hamstring or whether he has torn it.

Usually around 3 weeks for pulled and and 6 weeks for torn.

  • Wiggins = Sicknote
  • That's very bad news. Even more important we get some decent wide players on loan now. Wiggins so important to attack and defence.

He's been a bit of a slow starter after injury in the past as well so it may be a few weeks more before he finds his form again.

I really hope this does not mean Evina gets another chance. Personally I have been disappointed in him this season.

Until the Donny game I thought Morgan Fox might get played , but after he was passed over I am concerned he might be let go in the summer. I liked Lennon but he is a centre back if we need to pitch a youngster in why not the more orthodox left back Fox?

Kadel Daniel has also signed a long term contract. Is it too early for him?

Agree about Evina. if there are funds available I think we might see a loan in at LB. Nice to see the youngsters get a chance but too many at the same time will not improve our prospects of avoiding the drop.
  • From his Twitter, Daniel sees himself as a midfielder. Looking at the u21 match reports he's played a lot of games as a midfielder. Holmes-Dennis is another that has played left back but the club may look at him as a midfielder.

As Fox hasn't been involved I'm expecting him to leave in the summer. He got a run of games at Notts County, I guess we'd have watched him and decided he's not going to make an impact in the first team at this level.

out of order, he is a top pro
  • Agree with you 100% RichardJ Fox definitely worth a run out apart from making 5 consecutive U21 international appearances last year, he also acquitted himself well at Notts County played in 7 games 6 for full 90 won 3 drew 2 lost 2 all league one relegation zone battles and he scored in his 2nd appearance. He was only physically watched by a club rep in one game at Crawley post Christmas and unfortunately that game was a car crash for Notts County and there have been some misleading comments / interpretations on here about Shaun Derry's comments on how he performed. Derry recognises and respects Fox as a LB who can not only defend but also likes to link with midfield , overlap get forward and deliver balls in, for the record during the loan period Notts County had mistakenly signed up too many loan players therefore when that period ended the club available defensive players coming back from injury who are on the books and therefore Derry was able to use a loan option elsewhere on the pitch where he needed more depth in the squad particularly Strikers and attacking midfield.

Given our current squad options these are the players I would like to see played in their natural positions a mix of youth and experience
GK bring back Alnwick - too late ! Hamer Popey Thuram
Defence LB Fox CB Morro Lennon Wood Dervite RB Nego and Solly - come back soon
MIDFIELD Harriott Poyet Astride Cousins Koc Hughes Pritchard Cookie
    Strikers Church Piotr Sordell Gucci

As far as the home grown youth mentioned above they have played together for the last 4-5 years they smashed their respective league last year and have a seasoned understanding of their team mates style of play. They have also excellent TG experience of old school Senior squad players and their style of game add the new faces and let's see how we do
Let's face it, it hasn't worked so far has it ?

unfortunately it has happened again, anyone who was there how serious did it look,
Radio said it was his ankle was it the same one he injured before
  • Always happens as soon as he starts to hit form. It takes him ages to get up to speed, starts to show some class then gets injured. It's so frustrating!
  • Just as he was getting back to form
  • Wasn't convinced by Fox v Fulham. Would consider Solly at LB and Wilson/Gomez at RB if he is out a while. Fox in for the midweek games to give CS a rest.
  • Lennon was OK at LB
  • Can we get Holmes-Dennis back?
  • I think we will get a loan in if he's out for any length of time.
  • before we start writing him off lets wait until we hear whats wrong - prob find he'll be ok for sat.
  • Not ideal, but Coq can play either full back?
  • Reports suggested Coquelin could play fullback either side, so that might be another option
