I am getting a little bit fed up of hearing "no offence to Charlton fans but...." We could really be the panto villians if we deny the world a "Steel City Derby" it seems
If you listened to 5Live tonight you would have thought we were not even in the 5th round still, let alone a chance to be in the semis. Just talk of a Sheffield semi and an interview with Nigel Clough asking him how he feels after knocking out his old team, Forrest, and now having a Steel City derby to contend with........ Makes you sick.

This states that PREMIER LEAGUE clubs are not allowed to play on the same night as a Champions League tie. As both of us are mediocre Championship teams, does this mean we should get to play on the Tuesday night?
The article on the Charlton website says that there can not be any other premier English club competitions taking place at the same time as the Champions League, so I am little confused which is correct. I am guessing it is the latter???
If the game next Monday ends in a draw, when will the replay be scheduled for ?
3.30pm tuesday the 25th Feb so as to not interfere with the wonderful competition that is the champions league. Real football exists on a terrace somewhere up north on a tuesday night in Feb in the freezing cold. I have a lot of people that I sit next to at work who get very excited about the Champions League, they aren't football people. I look around as I write this, one is a Kiwi who supports Man City, he's been to the Etihad once. One is a Newcastle fan from Tonbridge Wells, the other a Man Utd fan from deepest, darkest Essex. The final one is someone who says he likes Arsenal just to be included in the conversations about football. He knows nothing and would probably prefer to play FIFA on X-Box live than go to a game.
If OP is to be believed (and no reason not too) then it wont be shown as the contract is for 5 games plus 2 replays. ITV & BT Sport have already shown 5 games between them so cant show any more - obviously if it goes to a replay then that could well be shown.
This is a bloody pain i have mates who have booked travelodges for the tuesday night in sheffield and cant get their money back, other people trains and coaches and the same....I took tuesday off to go now have to cancel and book the monday off...simularly i have hired a car to go and at least they were sympathetic in changing the day.
reading the BBC website it appears that neither Hull nor Brighton are too enamoured with playing their replay next Monday either.
It seems it all comes about because Liverpool played Everton on a tues night in March 2012 at the same time as Milan were playing Marseille in a Champions league tie..........which was against the rules apparently !! So, 2 scouse teams were playing IN ENGLAND which obviously affected a tie in ITALY which featured 2 non-BRITISH sides. #
The EU, in all its guises, has a lot to answer for.

How is it that Inverness can be playing a cup game tonight? Do Scottish Cup games not count as far as Champions League is concerned? Uefa = farce
if we win agenst wensday then we will bring os many fans to the next game, home or away.
You're either on an i-phone or you have had a stroke JMF ;0)
If we get past this round, I reckon we will have a great turnout. A little compensation maybe after a desperate season so far!
i have developed typing habits where i will mix two letters up. our season hasn't been so desperate, think about it like this, atleast we are not portsmouth.
This isn't the EU - it is UEFA. Football is run by the least suitable people - but it won't change - it is one big jolly club for them and they won't ever let better more sensible people have control.
Not sure I would trust any listings at this point. I've seen many we links in the past linking potential fixtures only for it not to be the case come the game.

We play Huddersfield away then have to play two days later.
Makes you sick.
:-)
Saturday a lot more important
