What a start that would have been

Sad news that an Inter fan was killed in violent clashes before the game last night. Admittedly it looks like he was an 'ultra' and was more than likely out looking for trouble, but no fan should be killed over a football match.
Some Napoli fans were also stabbed before the game and fans from both sides have been arrested.1 -
Inter will face two games behind closed doors following racism towards Koulibaly0

Just in case someone hasn’t seen it...
Not a bad way to score your first goal for Roma and your first Serie A goal

The man that died was a Varese fan. Inter apparently had Varese and Nice fans with their support.

Nice?
Thought they went to Juve?0 -
Yes it appears he was a Varese ultra and a member of a neo-nazi organisation and apparently had already had a 5 year ban for previous trouble.SheffieldRed said:

One to keep an eye on this weekend.
Sampdoria v Udinese @ 5pm on Saturday
Fabio Quagliarella is aiming to score for the 11th game in a row, it would tie him with Gabriel Batistuta for the Serie A record.
We all remember Vardy breaking Van Nistelrooys record a few seasons ago. The Italian top flight record of 11 games is still held by Batistuta from the 94/95 season.1 -
The record for England and Italy is both 11 games - Vardy and Batistuta
Incredibly both those scoring runs were while Claudio Ranieri was manager.3 -
Quagliarella scored a penalty for Samp to equal Batistutas record.stackitsteve said:One to keep an eye on this weekend.

Well done Fabio. 35 years young too.2 -
Juventus have a front 3 of Dybala Ronaldo and Costa tonight and in the 1st half have had a total of zero shits

Maybe they’re on a new diet?WestStandNeil said:Juventus have a front 3 of Dybala Ronaldo and Costa tonight and in the 1st half have had a total of zero shits

Maybe they could change that by snapping up Gary Lineker?WestStandNeil said:Juventus have a front 3 of Dybala Ronaldo and Costa tonight and in the 1st half have had a total of zero shits

1st shot on target and Juve are level0

Cant underestimate how important Mandzukic is to Juve.
Links really well with Ronaldo. Big miss for them tonight, although that’s not to say they don’t have quality elsewhere and should be doing better.0 -
They won 2-1 and are 11 points ahead of everyone else in the table.
Oh to have their problems eh?1 - Sponsored links:

Chievo v Fiorentina today was honestly the best match of football I have seen in many many years. Brilliant stuff.
Federico Chiesa has a big future ahead of him too.2 -
Fiorentina have had some cracking games this season2

Please see my post above. He had a hat trick tonight in the 7-1 win against Roma. And what a hat trick it was. All 3 were unbelievable goals. Napoli never move quickly enough, watch Juve snap him up in the summer for 40 mil and sell dybala for 200 mil.
Juve and napoli lost tonight too.0 -
Last seasons top 3 all out of the coops Italia this week1

I was at Atalanta game last night. Good club. They remind me a lot of Charlton a few years back.3

Last seconds of the game and VAR gives Inter a penalty, to send the game to a shootout.0

Final 8 in the Cup were the top 8 from last season.
Quarter finals kept the top 4 apart.
Lazios win tonight means the top 4 are all out.
Last seasons 5-8 are all in the semi finals.2 -
Juventus draw, Napoli win. Gap down to 9 with them still playing each other in Naples in March. Don’t think they’ll catch them but still they do incredible to keep up with them on such a low budget. Their transfer activity is incredible.
Milan also looking good. That Donnarumma is incredible and his relationship with Romagnoli at the back could be key to their future.
Zaniolo of Roma is another player to look out for. Looks the real deal.1
