Don't think RD has done anything wrong yet. So far, we've got an extra midfielder (on loan) and we're finally spending money on our pitch. What's the doom and gloom for?
Although it may not have made press down here, it's not the first time Morrison has been linked to Celtic, day after the game where we ended Huddlesfield's 66 year unbeaten record, I flew up to Glasgow for Celtic Athletic in Europa league and it was on the back pages of the Scottish papers so I think that probably adds to what people say about "Agent touting him about" etc
absolutely could get worse he's far from our best player - imagine moves for Kermogant and backroom staff at this time, or the loss of Solly and Wiggins
Worrying. As is the interest in Stephens, a vastly improved player this season. Is this a sign of a mass clear-out?; Liege fans were angered when Duchatelet sold some of their best players.
Hardly, this is an effect of the previous board not renewing contracts last summer (at the latest) when they should have (but clearly couldn't afford)
No offence to Morrison, but if Celtic are after him that's a pretty damning comment on the state of Scottish football
Playing in Scottish league is the footballing equivalent of purgatory. I believe the Scottish football league, Europa league and the African cup of nations should all be merged and played once every 4 years to spare us of utter shite.

Slightly worrying we were played of the the park by Inverness the week before our season started, I don't think I could bare only watching Charlton every 4 years.

Sounds like his agent is doing his job , will he stay ,time will tell , not burying head in the sand , but all sorts of games are going to be played between now and the end of the month.
I think the tactic of not renewing contracts before the Club was sold was a sensible one, however the question of assessing the squad as we go forward is now a most important task, perhaps that is why there is now talk of a Sporting Director. The right person coming in could be a very good move. I am quite sure that the Club will now be making it obvious to key players that contracts will now be reviewed.
I'd be worried if it wasn't Celtic. That's the easiest story around for agents to spin for players who are not good enough for the prem and will command a modest (in the overall run of things) fee. It was Kermit a year or so ago. This is purely seasonal agent stuff. The objective is to force charlton's hand.
As it happens Morro is (only just) one of about four players that I would be worried about nailing down right now. The others are Wiggy, Stephens and Wood. Kermit is playing for a new contract at the moment given age and fitness. Wilson, Solly and cousins are contracted. The rest are dispensable.

So true that it made me laugh. It's always Celtic!
Like the bloke, but one of the most overrated CAFC players for years. Not really a Championship player to be fair. Out of those requiring contracts, I would give the keepers, Wiggins, Wood, Stephens, Jackson and Kermorgant contracts before him.
morrison is overated in my eyes anyway.cue verbal abuse etc.I think that theres been too many times when he has cost us goals and its gone unnoticed, if we can get something for him then sell him, hes certainly replaceable.
One of the best defenders outside the Premiership? That is a massive statement.....and I can't agree with that at all, BUT I'd still like him to stay. I think he's competant and a decent player. He just needs to get his confidence from last season back.
Despite the success of out promotion season I would prefer not to have a completely new team in August. I want to keep some of our players for, if nothing else, some continuity. Morrison is young and I think he's a decent player. He would be on my retained list.
However, I'm inclined to believe that this is just Agent's talk to get him a new contract. He can sign a pre-contract contact with Celtic now, so if they are genuinely interested we, probably, wouldn't hear anything about it until he had signed for them. Nothing makes me think we would match, or better, any offer they would make to him.
'Several Championship sides' is the laziest phrase in sports journalism!
I am quite convinced that he will be with us next season if we want him to be!
Poor old Morro. A reliable, dependable part of our team yet gets branded as overated by some. Ok, makes the odd mistakes but never gets injured or suspended. Hope he stays.
I like his attitude and find nothing wrong with his position in the team. Premiership quality he is not, but you need committed players who make the most of what they have got.

agree wholeheartedly. i have always thought that reliability in terms of fitness is an attribute just like skill, pace or touch. you cannot underestimate the value of having a CB who has been available for 3 years constantly now, with only 1 or 2 games missed through injury.
I think he had some poor games last season and started this season poorly, but has been very solid since then. If we want better, we would have to shop in the Premiership I suspect.

He was excellent in L1 and then when he went up a league he reverted to just being a good solid centre half. He made the odd mistake, as is to be expected and I think people compared his performances with those of the previous year without taking into account the difference in standard of opposition he was now coming up against. He's very reliable at the back though and if you compare that to previous years where we've had Doherty, Llera, Hudson, McCarthy et al I'm grateful to him for being a player who doesn't fill me with constant dread. Definitely want to keep him.

300 times by different managers. Can't be that rubbish.
However, with the emergence of Wood he has become much more consistent.
Shows the value of 2 good communicators playing together.
