I would like to hear how Michael Slater fits the current state of pitch debacle into how they have improved the club.
And do so Murray, the current Chairman, dare I say as it's a result of a lack of funding since 1998, when we got promoted I believe...
The drainage collapse was apparently a couple of years back. It was Slaters, Jimensz and Bradshaw's watch and they did feck all about it. The pitch has been a disgrace since that time particularly. Murray and previous board to TJ / MS should have sorted out the drainage with proper maintenance but the pitch was in pretty good shape. It is under TJ + MS that the pitch went properly pair shaped with the collapsed drainage and that needed a response or even a bleedin' survey to work out what the problem was and what the cost is and whether it was possible to patch it. Not that even seems to have been done.
I am more interested to see how the club will manage the situation now and look to the future. January 12th, pitch fecked and nothing much happening on the transfer / loan front apart rumours of players out. Hoping to have something to be positive about in the next week to 2 weeks.
As always time will reveal much whether by actions or lack of! Still think we had the problem back in 2008/9 - there shouldn't have been a great fecking puddle on pitch for 1st home fixture of a new season - but what do I know of matters subterranean???
