On the Oxford twitter but not ours!

Not on the OS either, do they put any relevant news on there ? Grrr

Think we should cut the Comms team a bit of slack - imagine they are already having a busy enough day with the takeover (and I believe are down on staff?).

Really? the length of time it took you to write that post is the length of time it would have taken them to have tweeted it.

I have a spare now for the covered end lower. Only £50.
(I have travelled in time and know the 4th round draw, cheap at the price.)

shouldve gone a few weeks further and seen the result of the 4th rd draw and you couldve trebled your price

If it is going to be moved to Wednesday cant imagine the Barnsley game will stand much chance of going ahead

You wouldn't think Wenger wold be that interested in a Charlton / Oxford cup tie. Is this bad news for Chrissy Powell in the Duchatelet era?

According to the weather forcast it will rain every until wendsday so I can see it getting postponed again.
  • Now it's on the OS, so it does work then?!

Our pitch right now would struggle to host 2 games in 2 weeks, never mind 4 days.
  • Postponing to Wednesday gives the them the time to buy new turf and have it laid. :-)

Surprised it has been rearranged for next week. Playing this on Wednesday will jepodise Barnsley next Saturday.

How long does it take to get the pitch done? (i.e. Chelsea managed it after playing us on the beach)

Can imagine it's dictated by the FA

No more than a couple of hours to lay it, then it has be left for a while (probably over night) before painting the lines. Decent turf isn't cheap but pennies for RD.

Have you ever tried relaying turf in January?

Could the new fixture date get the game moved to TV now? Good chance of a shock result.

Interesting to see who we might potentially get in the 4th round. If we draw Man Utd away then the club will surely take it more serious?

No but then i'm not a professional groundsman. Chelsea relaid their pitch in January after that sandpit match v us.
  • Trouble is though... if it doesnt stop raining then we definitely cant re-lay it
  • Is it against FA rules to use 'fake' grass?

Does that make us the first game off ? A bit of an embarrassment then?

A bit embarassing or just considerate to the fans?

The point of the dome covers is that you can carry on working under them whilst the weather does whatever it wants on the outside.
