  • He won't be out of work though. He'd definitely get another contrAct somewhere else,

He's just playing in a rubbish team and not entirely fit. That's where the frustration comes from
  • What's with all the Yann bashing ffs, give me strength perlease!
  • Congratulations to Yann, I believe this could be his first ever scapegoat of the week award. Magnifique!
  • It wasn't intended to be a scapegoat thread, more just one of concern.

For the record he is by far and away my favourite Charlton player of recent years and in the times I have met him he is an absolutely top bloke!
  • Right that's it I'm tempted to give him 10 in the players marks for the rest of the season which in my book means he should be playing for Barca or Real M just to wind the Yann doubters up. Sorry AFKA / Lookout you might have to ban me idc but it will be worth it. 'I always dream of a team of Kermorgants, a team of Kermorgants.......'
  • too be honest you only have to listen to gary johnsons comments to understand whats up with yann , clubs have realised that we play the ball to yanns head over and over and over and over and over, get my drift

been sussed out and yann has to put up with it as its all we have right now,

    it would piss me off
  • It's frustrating NLA just because he is as good, if not better, with his feet than his head anyway!
  • I think the ball should be played into his feet and then you'd see the opposition struggle to contain him
  • When the ball is played into his feet he gets fouled. He is in a lose lose situation.

  • When Yann plays well, the team plays well. When he struggles, the team struggles. Wilson is still man of the match from yesterday, but Yann ran him bloody close. He's a juggernaut when he's in the mood, there's not a centreback in the league he can't take on and win on his better days. Sadly he must be as confused and disheartened as any of us by some of the backstage/boardroom antics being reported and we don't see him at his best so often.

Oops, double comment. I blame the computer... And Hamer.
  • One word for Yann yesterday........EPIC!!
  • If he's a league one/ bottom half championship player then I don't have clue why were not already relegated because he' head and shoulders above any current Charlton player!!!!!!!
  • If you were going into battle you'd want the French warrior alongside you!
  • Written off last season by some and again this season. He looked a Championship player in League One and stepped up as expected. Think he also had a slow start after his injury last season. Give him a few games to get match fit and he has always shown he's a key player for us.

It's Unbelieveable that people were saying he's past it and should be dropped because he was rushed back from injury overweight. He always does that! It's just that we needed him so badly. Curbs would have played Lisbie instead and allowed Yann 3 months to slowly reintegrate.
  • My favourite player. The blokes a cyborg.
  • Incroyable,
he gets targetted every week and also frustrates the oppo players and fans with his antics, (yesterday he was genuinely fouled but lad dead, sprung up and sprinted like Ussain Bolt into their box).

He wins the majority of headers, shows sublime skill a couple of times most games and gets his kit dirty.

An all rounder but I do believe he has found his home in SE7. A move to a fellow championship side or lower premiership would see him bench warm, not have time to make an impact and unable to grab the cult following he has here. I love him as does my son so a completely subjective view of him but his last minute winner at the Den in a couple of months will cement his legend status, (maybe getting carried away there)

vive les bretons vive la bretagne!

  • Playing for a new contract..........probably at a new club.
    :-(
  • Hate the French love the Frenchman .
Best player to have played for us for a long while .
Every team needs a cult hero and he is ours
  • Just going to point out that he was the key to our attack on Bolton on Saturday as well, didn't see yesterday's game personally but that free-kick was a peach! I can't believe that people still doubt the Frenchman. Every year this happens after he's just come back from injury and then he goes and proves all the doubters wrong again. Viva le Kerm!
  • I haven't seen a 'proper' centre forward lead a line like that for ages. The bloke wins absolutely everything, gets the shite kicked out of him but comes back for more.

    Love him.

I know it was cheesy, but I loved it when SuperYann flew across the scoreboard at the valley yesterday.

Thought that was inspired by the Bream Team !

Guessing loads of fans missed it though...

How "disinterested" did he look yesterday?

    : - )

Copied from my comments on the post match thread:

"Yann Kermorgant. Yann bloody Kermorgant, what a guy. That is much more like the Yann I'm used to seeing and he showed the fight that I felt was missing in the last couple of games, that said, I wasn't able to get to Bolton. He bossed it today, terrorised their centre backs. Some of the flicks that he sees and pulls off I don't even see from an elevated position in the stands, he has such a quick and intelligent footballing brain. Great free kick, you just expect them to go in when he is in that position."

So in answer to your question, not at all. I thought he was absolutely superb yesterday and has scored two goals in two games, brilliant. I'm over the moon because I totally love Yann and when he plays well the team plays well. Thanks for your comment, funny guy.

    You're welcome. : - )

  • You are a valued member of this forum and your work for CL with fundraising for the upbeats and the museum etc is fantastic, but you can be an absolute childish arse at times.
  • Oh lighten up FFS.

You're getting your leg pulled very mildly for making a silly statement about Yann being disinterested and now you're getting all up set.

You could just have laughed it off (did you not see the smiley?) As the joke it was but obviously I've touched a raw spot.

    Move on
