Yeovil attack with pace, we defend, ball in and we clear for yeovil throw. yeovil have come back into the game, attack we are troubled, but a right footer well over.
If i was the yeovil team i would be laughing my head off
How many times have you seen Sordell put in a good shift, apart from (apparently) Tuesday?
Same with Green. How many chances has he had, and let us down. He's lucky we are paying his wages.
I have watched Sordell for the few minutes he gets at home all season and at Reading, and he constantly makes runs, however he is not a Kermogant so sticking needless balls up to his head is a waste and he is not a Church running around like a headless chicken.
If we were not going to play a formation or style to maximise this assets potential then we should never have brought him in, but we have got him so we should be trying to get the best out of him. Can you imagine a factory manager bringing in a piece of kit costing a 5 figure sum a week (allegedly) and saying he can't get it to work and using the cheap pilot machine instead, even though it is not achieving the required level of productivity?
We have not scored in 3 out of the last 4 games and we are sinking fast, so the job of the management is to do something to change this and playing a fellow relegation team is an ideal opportunity to do this.
Sordell may not be the answer but playing the same team with one change which is playing Jackson in a role that CP said he would NEVER play him in again is not the answer.
That said I think we can come away with something, but it may need CP to actually be brave during the match to achieve it.
Agree that Green should not be picking up a wage.
BTW How many times have you seen the team this season?
Three, since you ask. You?
Footballers aren't machines. I was quite pleased to see Sordell signed, and would love to see him do well. He has the pedigree. But no one here who goes every week has claimed he his performances have anywhere near lived up to expectations of an England u 21 striker.
As Airman pointed out this, there's a reason why Sordell was available two days before the start of the season. There is also a reason why we were desperately looking for scraps at that time.
Morro defending, dale has it, church run is covered. yeovil ball, they attack wide right, grand involved, dale clears, yann down and stew, and stew trips, wiggy, shot long range well saved, shot from Stew
No real surprise here. More or less the same failing team, exactly the same failing tactics and hey presto we look toothless and coming under pressure. Really hope the lads turn it around because, if we lose today and go bottom 3, you really have to take a hard look at SCP. I love the man but the decisions he made for today look suspect at best.
Actually physio not on, Webster lectured. Corner in, yann in, ball cleared, and kept upfield long range from yeovil easy for Alnwick who controlled it on his chest. yeovil come again, we get mixed up, and we have a FK, Miller backing in.
Yeovil, but dervite clear, miller and morro battle, but jacko, wiggy, stew attack, and yeovil double up, we lose it now, hacked clear, but jacko was late on upson, fouled.
