Hopefully we can see this as a good sign, it will be interesting to know who.0
-
            JJ and Yan i presume.0
-
Will it be on the OS today?
And can we put this nonsense to bed and get back to talking football ( sorry Sparrow i know its potentially good news, but its winding me up how this stuff is dragging on).0
-
I still haven't heard which players they are, but I get the feeling its not anyone big - would have been told immediately if it was Yann or JJ. Good news regardless of who it is, shows stability, and shows decisions are still being made and signed off (I hope so anyway)0
-
my guess is it will be youngsters, say Fox and Jordan0
-
Good news if true whoever the players might be.
Personally I would like to think one contract is a long term one for Chris Powell.0
-
Why would Powell sign a long term contract when there's so much uncertainty going on?0
-
            Munns and Muldoon, per OS0
-
Because a long term contract lessens the degree of uncertainty.0

Good news I think. The fact that the board are signing off any contracts at all means they aren't completely screwing the club up during this uncertainty. Good to have another Academy graduate signed up too.
If these can be signed, then the gaffers and Yanns can be too. Think positive people!!0

If TJ remains in charge then I'm fully expecting a team full of kids next season.0

how can you compare contracts for Munns and Muldoon to CP and Yann's? If the first two are on £500pw I'd be gobsmacked. I think CP and Yan might be looking for a bit more. Keep clutching at those straws though eh.SparrowHawk said:http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/20131206-new-deals-for-munns-and-muldoon-1219214.aspx

Jack Munns has something about him, to get this far when you make Solly look like Goliath suggests as much. Well done Spongebob, and well done Muldoon too.

Not sure about Jackson. Think he's struggling with the pace of this division now. If he's still here next season, it'll be because we're back in L1 or he's happy to be a back-up player. Not knocking him, as I think he's been a great player for us since he signed, but all things must end..............Bedsaddick said:JJ and Yan i presume. 1

It, genuinely, upsets me to have to say that I think you're right. Not because I don't want to agree with you Tango, but because I think Jackson has been an inspirational Captain and had real qualities about him, but I think he is struggling to keep his place based, solely, on his performances.tangoflash said:

I note that one of the U21 players has only signed a contract until the end of this season - unless it's a typo. I'm not sure that, really, counts as a long term contract.0

The usual sort of positivity that's shown on here!LargeAddick said:

I'm not "comparing" it to Jacko signing a new contract - but clearly if there are any agreements being made with any players, it shows the club isn't going into shut down. Some clubs completely freeze up during take-overs, bills don't get paid and new agreements are certainly not signed. It bodes well that things are still carrying on as normal, and players are being rewarded for their hard work.

Pleased, but underwhelmed. Where's the contracts for guys that can keep us in the Championship?0

So, if other contracts (senior players and staff) have not been offered, so far, due to waiting for a takeover, perhaps this could mean a couple of things:
The new wannabee owners have asked for this to happen so there's more assests for their money, allowing the takeover to move along with the agreed price.
(all part of the haggling process)
or, there is no longer a takeover happening and the curent board have decided to start handing out contracts off their own back, but not starting with the 1st team squad seems a little strange??!
Or a number of other possibilities, I suppose - It's all guesswork, afterall.0

Thats 5 signed up for next season0

That's what people said around this time last season. Then he got a bit more match-sharp and scored some really important goals to drag us up the table. Never write off Captain Marveltangoflash said:
