I stand side by side with my oldest Grandson, and carry my Son in my heart. I love this song, it's unique, we should somehow record it and play it often to any Director who is not a true Addick. By the way, congratulations to whoever conceived it.
I see swerve and his lad George at a few away games, my cousin Dan takes his lad Willum, hes the mascot on Boxing Day and my Georgie and I have ST and 8/9 away days a year. so there are a few of us.
It makes winning better and losing worse passing on the love of our club, it causes pride and guilt but definitly brings you closer together.
Nearly all of those father son chats about life, growing up, attitude, problems at school that you need when parenting have taken place for me at football, our seats are exactly where my grandad and I used to stand on the East Terrace and that continuity is exactly why I have selfish views about the Valley and our future.
As for the song, bring it on, if there would be just 2 verses one CAFC specific I would be very happy.
That's bloody good mate your songs have come along way over the years. Lol it bought a tear to my eye that.
Lol, it's still not in your league ;-)
She wore a red and white scarf and a red and white hat Said if you hate palace you know where it's at I pulled up a pew next to her at the bar I bought her a drink and lit up a cigar And when she said she knew the score, I said Clap Clap Clap clap clap Clap clap clap clap CHARLTON !!
brilliant lyrics Dan. but why do we have to sing them to a nigel/arsenal song, or a forest one while we are on the subject of copyright theft. give AFKA and others a tune and CAFC can create their own.
someone please put a suitable tune we can create a Charlton song to.

I'll suggest 'We're a crowd' by The Twang, chorus along the lines of
This is our ground And we play here This is our ground It's The Valley
We can all go mental to the 'de de de de de de de de ders' before and after
I wonder how many parent / child combos we currently have doing semi regular home & aways ?
Whenever I go to The Valley, is with my eldest - sometimes the little ' uns join me on the train from sunbury - My dad listened on the radio as we won the cup, he never took me to The Valley though, I re-introduced him a couple of times as I got older

Watching the goals roll in
As I watch us win at home again, yeah
I'm sitting on the dock of the bay
Watching the Thames roll away
Ooo, I'm sitting on the dock of the bay
Wastin' time
