I fancied a change of scene today so went along to Adams Park to watch Wycombe take on Reading in a pre-season game. Both Paul Hayes and Gary Docherty playing for Wycombe. Hayes just like his Charlton self really, a pretty decent first touch and turn followed by the inevitable pass directly to the opposition. Doc, carrying even more timber, statuesque at the back and chipping up the ball directly to the Reading centre backs when trying to find a team-mate. Glad we've moved on from that standard.
Reading looked half decent and were easy 2-0 winners. Their back four of Gunter, Morrison, Peace and Obita looked particularly good, albeit against weak opposition.
