Thought he had a good game yesterday and looks a good backup to Hamer. Keen to distribute the ball quickly. Far better option than Sullivan and Button were from what I've seen.
Yep done well , he was looking for early distribution but don't think he's delivery was as good as hamers but handling and shot stopping was more than decent enough.. He threw one from his area into the other keepers box in the 2nd half can't recall ever seeing that before
Hasn't had enough time for me to make a serious comparison to Hamer, but some good saves and assured handling means I am more than happy to give him that time - which I would not have said about Button! Some long passes were pretty poor, but he looks composed and sensible, for now it is his position to drop and Hamer's to win back.

I think he's done really well. His shot stopping was good yesterday (could have been 3 or 4 down in the first 5 if it wasn't for his reflexes), he caught a couple of crosses well and his distribution was quick (sometimes too quick!) which is one of my biggest criticisms of Hamer.
Right now if Hamer was fit on Tuesday I think I would stick with Alnwick.

Tony (long throw) Burns !
Rob Elliot was capable of a long throw but rarely did it given the lack of movement of the outfield players.
As for Alnwick he was my Charlton Man of the Match yesterday but that doesn't say much.
We like to slag our goalkeepers off at Charlton it seems, Elliot and Hamer to name two, and Alnwick will get the same after his "honeymoon" period I'm sure.
Impressed so far. Some dodgy distribution (the occasional rash giant throw), but on the games I've seen him he's done enough to make me think it's his shirt to lose.
Apart from first 5 minutes yesterday when he made a couple of top saves hasn't been really tested. Like the look of him, big unit not short on confidence and as someone said earlier it's down to Hamer, whom I happen to rate, to win his place back. Better than Button and Sullivan on what I have seen in 2 games

He is quick off his line, calls well, and SO FAR, his handling has been faultless.
Compare that to the way Hamer sometimes drops a cross, even when under no pressure.
In Hamer and Alnwick though we've two that could really cause headaches for Powell (Kinda like when we had Elliott and Randolph)

Seems strong and confident but bar the first five minutes yesterday, when he did very well, he's been little tested.
Handling good and seems to make early decisions and stick to them. Appears from the stands the defenders get an firm call as well.
Looks to distrubute early but ITFCs marking made that difficult.
Prefer Hamer at the moment
as in.......... "Annick" are you OK, are you OK, are you OK "Annick" ?
