I've just had a bottle of Fullers black cab porter. It's fairly similar to the dark matter stout, except the latter is a bit lighter on alcohol and a fair amount more bitter which I really like, but might be too much for some.
They look very similar, with an off white head and largish bubbles - there's no nitrogen in this like there is in draught Guinness.1 -
Thanks. I might get a bottle to try before getting the dark matter.
the best stout I’ve had is Broken Dream from Siren craft.
nice coffee flavour from that brew0 -
One I had on draught pre lockdown was Five Points railway porter. What a drink that was! Although I was very thirsty
The black cab is on 4 for £6 in Waitrose, normally £2 each.1 -

A bit like me, this can only be handled in small doses.3 -
The West Nuevo Californian lager from the Pinter.
tastes like a cross between an IPA and a Weiss beer to me.. but a very good brew 🍻4 -
Got sent a box of.10 beers for my birthday from Vocation. Not heard of them before but had a sour yesterday and it was superb2

Regardless of the result.
Just got back from Polegate v Peacehaven.2 -

Tonight's tipple of choice. Very refreshing if quite citrusy pale ale. Would be a nice summer bbq drink.2 -
...and last night's beer.

...nice enough for a Greene King ale but nothing exceptional. Quite a lot of toffee taste.

Very nice collab between Trillium and Other Half. Surprisingly dry finish.

Did you think “double dry” was a late April fools joke?SomervilleAddick said:Very nice collab between Trillium and Other Half. Surprisingly dry finish.

This was alright actually and not half as odd as it sounds. Maybe slight sweeter tasting than an normal IPA and I couldn't really taste the bergamot in isolation.1 -

I suspect you already know given your handle, but there's a whole Twitter account dedicated to outing really bad pints of the black stuff.guinnessaddick said:

This was a nice drop. Very unfined and dry but with fair amount of tropical taste. Liked it.1 -
Weiss nights home brew.
the best brew from the Pinter yet.
I do love my wheat beer and this is right up there with anything shop bought🍺2 -
Good to know. I've got four saisons brewing at the moment, but won't be ready for a couple of weeks. Likely to give the Weiss beer a go after that.1
