As with all the Home Nation events the Thursday is the most testing day, last 32 matchs played Morning and Afternoon, then last 16 matches played in the evening
Fully expecting on Friday to have
Allen v Wilson Higgins v Robertson O'Sullivan v Selby Murphy v Trump

That's some lineup. I got to the pub and Ronnie won his final frame so didn't get to see the whole match. This format it is literally anyones, it wont surprise me if half of the above don't get there.
Not quite being a knob, I don't see how shaking a hand and a fist pump is any less disrespectful. I have done both in pool/snooker, just down to the individual. Each to their own surely, not sure how that can annoy anyone.

Ronnie seems to be trying to cause controversy atm and I wonder if this is why.
Last time he left the game he felt pressure to return from fans.
What if he is trying to get fans to turn on him so he can just walk away:
Purposely missing a 147-fans at the game will be pissed off
Pulling out of the masters after fans have bought tickets to see him, then admitting that despite World Snooker saying it was personal reasons he just didnt want to play in it.
Now refusing a handshake which is a tradition of the game

bold prediction, who knows.
Re:147, although it was stupid from a fan POV but from a players its not. This used to be a rolling bonus which increased now its minimal and there is no incentive. Again I know this is always going to be debateable and upset the fans but still you can understand it to an extent.
Not really sure about that black in the middle v Dale, really odd one. The cynics would say he could have had a bet on 4-3 win, or maybe that's the 1/100 he would miss by playing it like a flash git, bare in mind I have seen Trump and countless other do similar but without looking so terrible when it goes wrong.
Pulling out of the Masters is awful for fans, but also who can question his mindset? If he isn't in the right frame of mind that's down to him. He also said he wouldn't be playing this event if it wasn't for the ranking / fine aspect of it. It's his decision, although harsh on us fans who want to see him he can play whatever he wants really.
Handshake/Fist pump , I really don't see the issue or difference. Both equally respectful, yes his OCD might be recent or based on how he was feeling on the day, or maybe he just doesn't like Cahill? Who knows, in seriousness who cares?
All of the above counter arguments, but I know I am being biased, I am not saying he cant come across as a bellend sometimes but I just appreciate him for who he is and admire the way he plays the game. Its frustrating as a fan when he has these off days, or cant be arsed but he has always been this way just slightly better the last 5 years but still has moments.

This season we have seen top players like Hawkins and Bingham get one and Trump just missed out.
If other players were intentionally missing 147s to make a stand I would agree with you, but its only Ronnie doing it

Trump (cant really bet against him ever now, regardless of the last tourney result losing to Bond)
