Im afraid this is the worst Palace team in my 40 years as a season ticket holder for the division we are in.The task was always going to very difficult but the squad that Holloway and Parish have cobbled together shows woeful incompetence and is an embarrassement.Heartbreaking to hear the away fans today loud and proud and being praised on Sky.Just feel that we deserve much more than this rubbish. How many points will we get this season?God help us.....
This came from SE9 Eagle on holmesdale net(sorry for going on this, I was bored whilst waiting for my celebratory toast having just got back from Birmingham..........................Given his postcode he deserves this season for not supporting his local team!

But theirs has snuffed it now !
Hahahahahahaha!
Was great seeing so many unhappy nigels on the train home tonight.
How does Palace go out and buy a replacement for Zaha and strikers are a real premium. Hollway is a brave manager and brought lots of players in because the one or two top players their fans say he should have brought in were not available. He tried to get Bent, who would have been a terrific signing for them. But Bent is not a player who would want to play in the Championship if they went down! Holloway took a risk by bringing loads in, but beggars can't be choosers. It is like putting your money on as many numbers as you can in roulette.
I honestly think they will be breaking records this season (the wrong kind from their perspective) - They got promoted far too early! But that is only from a footballing sense - the money they have will be a major boost to them in the longer term.
and i wouldn't be so sure about our home support being better once they return with a few hangers on !
He is an absolute pile of shite.
I just enjoy their weekly misfortune and curse Sunderland, so shit that Palarse took points off em...
I don't remember it being that clear-cut ever.
Any money they will make will have little difference if they get relegated. Just look at half of the Championship and some of the teams in League One.
West Brom did it very well, yo-yoing a couple of times but keeping a tight budget and are now a lot better off. Hull have come back up, Blackpool built a new stand and are challenging again this year.
QPR have a very rich owner anyway but are looking good to bounce straight back up.
The teams that tend to suffer are those that have been in the prem a bit longer and so have bigger debts and/or wage bill ie Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton (over £100m in debt) or are run by crooks ie Birmingham, Portsmouth.
So Palace won't be guaranteed promotion but they will have approx £48m more income than us over four seasons from TV money assuming we both stay in the Championship.
Of course they could waste that money completely or they could spend it wisely but they will still have the money, if they choose, to build a good squad, upgrade Selhurst, upgrade their training ground to get Cat 1 status.
The unknown is what liabilities they come down with. Will they have any debt? Unlikely. Will they have a lot of players on high Prem wages they can't get rid of? Possibly as Holloway bought too many players and the new manager may want more.
But financially their prospects are much better than ours as it currently stands. Unfortunately they seem to have finally found some sensible owners who won't do a Goldberg or Jordan, more's the pity.
You can always buy quality if you are prepared to spend big. It's spending big on dubious quality that does for many teams. Far too many players in the prem earning crazy money and not doing it. Unfortunately I think Palace have been frugal in the certain knowledge that relegation will follow but not being hamstrung by having players drawing huge wedge next season in The Championship where I expect them to be very strong. I think it might be a while before Charlton are on a level that Palace find themselves.
