Comments

  • The Birmingham commentary is actually quite good. Much better than our one.
  • Difficult to tell listening to it but it doesn't sound much of a game. Shame we couldn't take one of those chances.
  • why post the scores if people don't want it

    fucking childish

Because some people do want them?
  • HT stats addicks first-:
    possession...........47% - 53%
    shots on.............. 1 - 1
    shots off.............. 4 - 2
    corners................ 3 - 5

    GOALS.................... 0 - 0
  • off for a cuppa back soon
  • I thought the rule on here was no prem scores. Been that way for a long while
  • post them on another thread then, its been done to death on here that ther4e are people who avoid the scores so they can enjoy motd , if you want to know the scores of a league that has no bearing on us start your own prem scores thread

its a piss take and childish,

Thought the rule was prem scores should be posted elsewhere and not on this thread so that those who don't want to know them don't find out? Not too hard a rule to follow and be considerate to others. Whether you believe with it or not?!

according to them we have been 'by far' the better team.

Please do not post our score as you spoil it for those of us who want to watch the Football League programme tonight.

    thank you

That is CL match thread etiquette yes... but c'mon at least the latest Palarse debacle eh?

Halftime @ St Andrews and it's #BCFC 0-0 #CAFC. Not a classic, although a flurry of chances in the final few mins have kept GKs alert. (DB)

East Stand Mike not that bothered about Premiership and MOTD myself but quite a few Charlton posters looking at the thread, watch Match of the Day and try not to know the scores beforehand. Not mentioning Premiership scores is a curtosity for those that want to watch MOTD later. You can always go back into your comments to edit out the scores.

It should be a house rule, mentioned at top of thread for those that don't know.
  • Difficult to be fair if you are not aware of the rule the only way to gaurentee no mention would be to re-itterate the rule at the start of each match thread! doh
  • What's happened to Barry Manilow?
  • everyone knows its just people that don't like being asked not to do something they don't agree with , cant resist acting like a kid at school
  • I can't believe Golfie just cracked a joke. Greatest match thread of all time.

Maybe there should be a mention in the thread title to remind those who don't know the etiquette for these match day threads.
  • I agree that the exception can be made for Palace if they're losing
  • All, I am not sure if some of this is aimed at me, firstly I do not follow this thread each week so I am not aware it is a "rule" and secondly when I posted the latest Fulham Man U score only to be picked up by Valley11 someone else had already posted the Newcastle v Chelsea final score and the fact that the Stoke keeper had scored.

Maybe the "rule" should be posted at the top of the thread?

  • Cryptic h/t score...

Team that play in the highest stadium in the English League 1 v the 12th best team in Sth Norwood twats 0
  • There are people out there that simply have trouble saying Solly.
  • East stand mike don't worry about it, have fallen foul of the same. Agree should be mentioned at top of the thread. You can edit out the scores in your comments. No damage done.

Agreed NLA, but for those that make a genuine mistake, then maybe whoever starts the match thread could also start a Premier Scores thread.

  • why post the scores if people don't want it

    fucking childish

    Indeed
  • How would this work when we get back to the Premiership... doh!
  • just out of interest, how many on here seriously do not know the Prem scores when MOTD starts ?? I reckon if we did a poll more than 50% (and I'd wager more than 75%) would not mind if the scores were posted.

doesn't matter to me as I have Sky sports on anyway & know all the scores (esp Hartlepool's) but it does seem strange that on a football site you can't post other football scores.
  • Not likely to be an issue anytime soon ! So let's not worry about that now .
  • Just create a Premier League thread, no big deal
