"Also just regarding Addicks Place as Jean has headed off to sunnier shores before I could get back to her. I have the project manager from Investors in Sport coming down on Wednesday to look at Phase 1 and to make the necessary changes to ensure all issues are dealt with.
He will be bringing down the builders who installed originally and the situation will be resolved to a satisfactory conclusion ensuring a premium product.
Thanks Ben Kensell"
It's a step in the right direction but I think the club should put out an official statement.
for the record, I am not happy with the quality of the three that I purchased
TBF fair to the other Ben it was a comment on an email about another matter but he gave me a quick update.
Agree there should be an official comment but that may still come

That's three uses of the word "product" within four sentences - as though your love and loyalty were a faulty widget, or a kit with a missing part, or a tin of beans past its sell-by date. Note the cheeky valedictory: "Many thanks for your support." You were not offering your support; you were registering a complaint and demanding reparation.
Also, note that "Please keep in touch with the team" is quickly signed off anonymously from someone from the "Support Team". So, they have a team, and a support team - but the question remains: What on earth are they doing?
My sister and @bigmac ordered one for my birthday . The thing that gets me is there is no schedule for when the next lot get put in so I'm just sitting waiting knowing it could be 1 week or 1 year.
I also felt that the use of the word 'product' was incredibly insensitive. Product is what hairdressers now put on my hair, I believe it used to be called conditioner. What on earth is this ghastly obsession with the use of 'product', and who at the Valley used it so thoughtlessly?

Can't remember where I read it now, but I remember seeing somewhere that they expect phase 2 to be put down in early 2014

Nobody - it's clearly come from the contractor. They are not (as) likely to be clued up on the sensitivities of language when dealing with these particular "customers", which is one reason why it's usually best for the club to handle communications with supporters. Against that, it generates a workload internally.
Using the first person in the email and then signing it off impersonally is a bit clumsy.

How unprofessional! The onus should be on them to keep in touch with you. What a nerve!
A pal of mine was saying how he ordered a brick and never received a confirmation email. He then emailed the support address to confirm if they have processed his order, but this was about 2 months ago, still no reply from them. The money has gone from his account so you would assume it's in the process of being done, but a quick e-mail to confirm wouldn't be asking too much of them, would it!
Thank you for your participation in the Addicks Place scheme.
We apologise for the delay in getting your replica out to you, the good news is we are now in possession of your replica and this will be delivered to you next week.
Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the team on the below number.
Many thanks for your loyal support and patience.

Received the same email today

Still at least they emailed to let me know that the above email wasn't quite gonna happen..... Oh no they didn't .....phone call no.6 next week it is !
The Addicks Place stones in front of The Valley are looking back to their best following a clean of the site on Tuesday morning.
A full inspection of the area took place last week following discussions with supporters over a build-up of dirt and grout, which had affected the appearance of the plot in front of the West Stand reception.
It was confirmed that there was no permanent damage or deterioration of the stones, which have all undergone a full professional clean and excess grout has been removed.
The nature of the stones means that it is impossible to prevent future build-ups of dirt and debris within the engraved areas, but cleans will be undertaken regularly in future in an effort to maintain the professional appearance of the Valley landmark.
With bookings currently being taken for the second phase of Addicks Place, which will be finalised before Christmas, supporters can make their orders with confidence.
Work is expected to start on phase two in early 2014 and, with impressive early sales, fans are being urged to act quickly.
Simply by logging onto www.addicksplace.co.uk, fans can devise a personalised message on one of the granite stones, with three options available at a range of prices.
More than 20 years after supporters played an integral role in the club’s return to The Valley, Addicks Place was designed to enable fans to cement their place in Charlton’s history and become part of the stadium itself.
Each stone comes with a certificate of authenticity and a warranty, and there is also the opportunity to purchase a discounted replica stone in its own presentation box.
The single stone (200mm x 100mm) in red granite is £50, the double stone (200mm x 200mm) is £99 and the celebration stone (400mm x 400mm) in black granite is £499.
