He played well, but I don't understand why moments after the final whistle of a great result you'd look for a reason to slag off fellow Addicks, weird.
One game doesn't make a good player, anymore than one bad game makes them a bad one, Stephens imo has still massively underperformed this season, this could be the turning moment though!
Ran the game tonight, was involved in almost everything we did. Some of the balls he delivered to Wiggins and Wilson so that they could cross were great.
Would like to also point out that we were a million times better without Pritchard tonight. Like I said just because you try hard doesn't mean you should play every week. Cousins showed him up good and proper. Thought Stephens has his best game in a long long time, long may it continue.
Think Gower is the better passer of the ball. Cousins can do Pritchard's job very well although having both of them in wouldn't be a disaster if we pick up some form. Keeping the ball has to be paramount and Pritchard became too wayward with his passes over the past couple of weeks.
Why can't I? Pritchard didn't play, Cousins did and we looked good. What wrong with saying that?
Sorry, of course you can say it. I just disagree with you saying we're better off without the player who created the most goals for us last season.
Sorry, I forgot last seasons stats count. Just because a player played well last term doesn't mean they will play well this term, surely even you understand that?
Pritchard is an asset and does what he does well. If the squad has his engine we wouldn't be in this division.
Can't forget he was essentially on work experience when we signed him, problem is he doesn't always read a game as well as others but with his energy I can forgive a lot of that
All this thread is going to do is make his doubters (like me) point out his faults and the fact he hasn't played well this season. I'm not going to do that because he had a good game tonight so what's the point in laying into him?
He goes missing constantly, and really didn't do enough to warrant the pathetic opening post.
No the rest of the players go missing if u dont show who can u pass the ball too he is by far our best ball player, agree no claus jensen but he is the best we have at the moment unfortunately .
Like I said, I'm not knocking his work rate. He has a fantastic engine but that doesn't make you a good player it endears you to the fans when others don't work as hard and the team play shite. We simply didn't miss him tonight.
Could also say we didn't miss Jackson, Solly or Cort - only Yann perhaps but we could have won without him as well. It's a long season, all players will play their part. Pritchard has proven he has something to offer at this level.
As for Stephens I enjoy watching him when he's on form. Hope he can push on this season because we know at his best he's capable.

Though that is form based on 1 game.
makes sense?
Cousins equally good.
Keep it up Stevo, show what you're capable of.
Bizarre OP though.
Stephens was really, really good tonight. Yes, he needed Cousins, but he looked a different player.
Most pathetic post ever. One way to spoil à positive evening. Well done steve......
Hasn't done enough in majority of games I've seen.

Well done Stephens keep it up.
