The right decision. The results have been poor, but the football grim as well, too much basic hoofball.1

Never ideal to sack a manager, but the Darts were sliding down the league, the football was by all accounts horrible, and the interviews were becoming less and less coherent with the football fans had just watched, and a few bizarre excuses coming out in recent weeks. Hard to see what exactly where this went wrng, as he seemed a very positive choice when appointed, but it all went wrong this season.
Tony Burman in temporary charge.2 -

Hindsight but wouldn't any 5 from 6 in a perm would have you got a decent return, all be it 6 bets instead of 1?0 -
Probably about 1/10th of it.0
-
Quick calculation - If all prices averaged odds of around 1/2 and 5 came in you'd roughly get your stake back; if they averaged around evens and 5 came in you'd have about 5/1 return.

Maidstone vs Ipswich confirmed as being a live TV game with a 12:30 kickoff
It sounds like they’ll get around £110000 for the match1 -
Went to Oldham 1 Hendon 2 today in the FA Trophy. Sad to see Oldham as poor as that...very decent club....but an amazing performance from Hendon. 1-0 up.....conceded a penalty in added time 1-1.....rounded their keeper and had it kicked off the line on 94 mins...chance gone....but came again and bundled home the winner in the very last minute.
Up there in my top 10 ever football days.

Lot of people took advantage of Welling's 11/4 price against Chesterfield.
Chesterfield announced they would only send down their academy players, and even the manager said he ain't going.
Once the team sheet went up, welling went into 10/11 and duly won 2-0.
Nice.
Draw today at 3:15 on talksport 2, for anyone who cares.3 - Sponsored links:

I get their focus is promotion but i'd imagine that even if they rested just a few of their first XI their reserves would've probably still been good enough to beat Welling who have been awful this season.3 -

Dartford game called off at Truro (Plymouth) an hour before kick off.
Absolute piss take on both the travelling team and its supporters.
They must have known it was a non-starter this morning.1 -
Disgraceful. All the other NLS games were called off by lunchtime, and this is what the pitch was like

As a fan who has travelled up and down the country supporting Charlton for over 50 years I can honestly say there's nothing more annoying than travelling hundreds of miles only to find the game has been postponed.
No consideration is given to travelling supporters when making these decisions.4 -
When our game against Southampton was called off at the last minute I was fuming, and that was only an 8.5 mile journey.1

Happened to Hendon twice last season; got all the way to Weston Super Mare and Yate, to find it frozen.
Ps...Away to Wealdstone in the next round of the FA Trophy. At least there are no travelling costs for that one.0 -

We had a game up in York on Tuesday. On Monday night we were being tipped off by contacts up there that the pitch was frozen (despite being a hybrid 4G/ grass thing). York said it was fine officially and didn't allow an inspection. We got a coach at 11am, 20-odd people taking a full day off work and so on. At 1pm the gaffer got a call from the York gaffer that the game wouldn't be on. We were close to Nottingham by then. Cost the club £3-4k in total.
What made it worse was, the gaffer was going up north anyway so we kept going for another 90 minutes so he could go to Chesterfield! Players were furious - 90 minutes after being told we were looking out the window, knowing we were heading the wrong way still. The gaffer said we had to go to the hotel where we were stopping for lunch. We got there and lunch wasn't even ready. We had to wait 30 minutes for some dried out chicken. One player - Bob - was running around the room harassing those of us eating, demanding we finish our food so we could go home. Then as we all left the room, the bus driver came in and asked if he could eat some chicken before we left, but the chicken was all gone so they said they would make him some more. Bob lost his mind.
We got back at 7pm after 30 games of Uno. Ultimately, we had an 8 hour round trip just to eat some dried chicken in a 3 star hotel.3 -
