Nicky Bailey returns

edited September 2013 in General Charlton
i always like to see returning players given a warm welcome.

However, am i the only one that suspects Bailey will be acting like Twat Central on Saturday ?

  • Just no booing him please. He will undoubtedly score if we do.
  • Hope he's their penalty taker
  • Yeah can see him being a right little prick egged on by their trampy fans. Hope Pritchard sticks him straight into the West stand where he's showered by hot tea and an army of tartan blankets.
  • I can see him play acting to get someone sent off. Lets hope he does his usual and loses the ball just outside the area for our forwards.
  • can already hear the g block choir with bailey youre a c**t
  • If Yann's fit my prediction is for the pair of them being sent-off for a flare-up a la Garland and Alex Rae a couple of seasons after we got back to the Valley

    Pardew would not like you
  • Bailey will act like a twat to try and endear himself to them

Well he can be assured that i would not like him either !

  • doubt anyone will clap him

  • He'll score an OG, give away a pen and clap the home support when subbed after 55mins. Can I bet on that?
  • Personally I think he will just get his head down and play his game. And get subbed after about 70 mins of over-trying and getting nowhere
  • I agree AFKA , one of the reasons I never warmed to Bailey as a player was the way he left his previous clubs,he left Barnet by freedom of contract and then threw a strop at Southend to engineer his move to the Valley.

I then was not impressed with the way he rolled around and tried to wind up their fans when we played at Roots Hall and suspect he will happily play the Pantomime villain on Saturday.
  • Couldn't give a shit about Bailey but i've no doubt he'll get booed.

More concerned about Morison, he absolutely murdered us in the 09/10 season.

Morison's injured. He's out for months I think.
  • Nope he scored last night . A nightmare
  • As did Bailey

    No hes not.
  • Bailey celebrated his goal last night like he'd scored the winner in the world cup final ! He seems very much at home there, strangely ! You can guarantee he'll be an idiot and try and wind up players and fans alike. The best way to react to him is to give him a cheer and warm applause before kick off. However, I suspect most Addicks will treat him like they did Defoe and the same result will probably ensue.

  • He played against us last season for Middlesbrough and was completely professional in how he conducted himself. Some selective memories going on here I think.

Was a good servant and captain for us during a dark period.
  • apart from the stupid fouls he committed and that penalty, he was one of our better players at the time. I don't like that he's with them but I'm not going to boo him. If he has a good game though I will give him no end of abuse and also vent my rage on here.
  • Do have fond memories of his goal v the scum in the 4-4. NU concourse was packed when it went in

This, definitely one of our best players over that period, if he'd scored the penalty who knows what we'd be saying about him.

This. I didn't like the way he dived when he was our player and will like it even less now he is Millwall. He will try and get one of ours sent off....Mark my words.

i don't know about anyone else but I missed that. was just coming back into the ground.
  • Pretty much everyone queuing for a beer was covered in the stuff afterwards
  • He will act like a complete chunt just to be one of them

This maybe true Tom, but he no longer wears the Charlton shirt, so i hope we get stuck right into him. The fact he will be wearing a Millwall shirt is an even bigger reason to.
