Finally got a ticket from the Sheff Wed game a few days ago so I need a plan B, preferably that side of the ground to get out to the Blackwall Tunnel
Happy to pay for a car park as long as it’s a reasonably quick getaway
Westcombe Park station car park? It's small, but the walk to the ground is 15 mins max and you'll be through the Blackwall in no time provided there's no accidents

I’ve been parking down Anchor and Hope Lane. Need to get there around 13.30 to get a space though. Been having a coupe of drinks in the Anchor pub to kill a bit of time as well.

Train car parks are the best place for your car to get broken into/stolen.

The traffic coming into Charlton from Kent on the A2 for both the Sheffield Wednesday and AFC Wimbledon games was awful, so I didn't get there until just before kick-off for both matches. I still managed to get a space even then though. I normally aim for 2pm otherwise. Hope that helps!

Didn't realise this was an option so good to know. £36 is pretty steep but it would certainly take the stress out of things.
Yes but if you intend doing it please note that spaces are limited. You would have to speak to the Charlton hospitality people in advance: you can't just turn up. I notice you mentioned you child's learning disability, so I thought I'd add that there are specified disable parking spaces where many of the vehicles are larger van-based jobbies. It may be worth mentioning your situation and asking if one of these spaces could be allocated to you.

It was a 472 to Bexleyheath which I foolishly assumed would be heading for Wickham Lane.

You need to speak to the disability liaison officer DLO. The club provide free parking for disabled supporters but spaces are limited. If you are attending with someone else you could ask for a drop off pass that allows you access to Floyd road to drop off and then go and park.

Good point which I hadn't considered, however being a Saturday I guess there will be less outpatient clinics running so demand for spaces will be slightly less.
