I hated being at Selhurst, but in truth there is a a very good case for clubs ground sharing, permanently. We don't like the idea because it's not what we're used to but it does make sense to have two incomes paying for the stadium. All the 'good reasons' that were trotted out when we left The Valley still apply. If we could get someone to pay for half the running costs of The Valley then we would have more money for other things, like players or not running up losses.
I wouldn't want them playing on our pitch, but it might be better than having Millwall suddenly come into £1m a year and we don't!

I don't know what you're all on about, I could live with Millwall getting a £1m a year if it meant the Nigels weren't playing on our turf every other week. We'd be no better or worse off than we are now, and we wouldn't have those stripey ****s stinking the place up.
The Valley would be a complete mess with all 12,000 of their fans turning up every other week. Think of all the colostomy bags, needles and empty plastic cider bottles they'd leave strewn all over the place!
Cant see the OB ever letting this happen, unlike our Selhurst days, there would be plenty of Charlton punters in the area on matchdays looking for confrontation with palarse fans.
Really not getting why people are so against this. We make loads of money for nothing and they get the shame of playing second fiddle to us. Where's the negative?
And whilst I have no idea if this is true of not I hope those who are saying 'it won't ever happen' don't believe for a second that it wont happen because of the rivalry. If Palace need a place whilst they redevelop, it makes sense to ask us (as it did the other way around). And if they asked our board would say yes in a second as would anyone remotely concerned about the club's finances.
Sometimes people really need to take the emotion out of football.

DFR you represent the view of 99% of Charlton Supporter CL represents the other 1% don't get to emotional by their views

Just ask John Little or the police liason officer Jason Evans their views on the matter, any other London club than them or smallwall wouldnt be an issue.

John Little would ban any fans that stand up including Man U and as of the views of OB could not give a FF

Or financially viable. Which is the point. The extra policing would surely be for Palace to fund and if it came down to our staff not wanting it and our board wanting it, I think I know who would win. At the end of the day everything has a price and it will simply come down to how miuch it costs to make secure against how much Palace want to pay. Emotion will not be part of the equation.
i reckon we should allow palace to groundshare. think about it, we would make about 500k in rent for a year. we would also have first pick of fixture times
Little and Evans would never let it happen Grownupyth, and nor should they I wouldn't want it they would stain the ground and the surrounding area,
There would be a need for high level policing every time they are at home as it would be a free shot at them this could see the Met rubbing their hands and a way to generate a disproportionate amount
you cant take the emotion out of football and those that follow it in a different way to those that can sit there and say Oh well no big deal
it makes business sense to do it to plug a hole in our leaking bucket, but the thought of them being at our ground every other week is rotten

Sorry but I don't understand why you think these would be costs to us. They have match day operations people already and they would relocate with everyone else. Yes they might need a few days to familliarise, but this could be weekdays. They would have to fund additional policing if it was required. We would have clauses which state they pay for any damage and clauses around it being unsustainable if too much damage occured. I can't much effect to us at all, much as Palace didn't notice much effect from us being there.

Having said that I think this is a big wind up.

I have said on both posts it makes business sense to do it the costs imo would all be theirs,
the costs would be out side not what happens in side, it would be a cat a policing for every single home game
