3rd Ashes Test

Raining. Early tea0
-
effectively 296 for 50
-
Very delicately poised, the rain and slow over rate could force Australia to declare sooner than they would like. They need to win this game remember, would ideally want at the very least 2 and a half sessions to bowl out England.0
-
152/6. Lead of 303, Anderson's first wicket of the match0
-
Shame that this is going to fizzle out to a draw.0
-
Off for Bad light. 172-7, a lead of 3310
-
Ha ha. The convicts must be cursing. Mind you looking at the forecast tomorrow they'd have to save the Ashes in canoes, so hard cheese Diggers!0
-
Play called off for the day0
-
Reckon the Aussies will declare overnight? Clarke makes bold declarations, and a draw is no use to them... Unless they want to build momentum for the return fixture this winter0
-
How many overs to be played tomorrow , just the standard 90 cos its last day or do they try and play catch up on some overs lost today ?? Anyone know0

Wouldn't it be terrible if it rained most of the day tomorrow and we retained the ashes on that basis. Honestly I'd be gutted.0
-
Think the number of overs to be bowled goes up to 105. Highly doubt they'll get all of them in though.oohaahmortimer said:How many overs to be played tomorrow , just the standard 90 cos its last day or do they try and play catch up on some overs lost today ?? Anyone know

15-2. Trott 12 c Haddin b Harris 12.2ovs0

Where is the bloomin rain?! Supposed to be chucking down non stop all day. Even now, the Met Office says heavy rain all afternoon. Just when you need the heavens to open, it doesnt oblige.0
-
Pietersen doesn't take long to settle in. Heaves Harris over the leg side for four. :-)
Aussies bring on the spinner, probably to tempt Pietersen into giving his wicket away...0 -
Root dropped by Clarke in the slips off Siddle.0
-
Nothing on hotspot but decision isn't overturned. Pietersen fuming.
27-3. Pietersen 8 c Haddin b Siddle0 -
It seems to me that, if there is a spot on hotspot, you're out, and if there isn't, then it must be a mistake on the technology and you're still out. What happens if you genuinely don't hit it!?
Pietersen may well have hit it, but it's just a very flawed system when it only works on some occasions, and not on others.0 -
Exactly. It's too unreliable to be used in DRS. Twice in the same test match a players been given out when there's nothing on hotspot.ValleyFred said:It seems to me that, if there is a spot on hotspot, you're out, and if there isn't, then it must be a mistake on the technology and you're still out.
