Met a York supporter last night and apparently Clarke Carlisle is an absolute arsehole, remember Preston fans down were saying same thing. He also was taken out the squad to play us when we beat Preston 5-2 for fighting with a teammate, all might not appear to be clear cut with him.
I don't get any of it I don't understand still after both B's links wtf "police backed NF/BNP entry-ism" is
and I don't understand what the whole thing is that is being discussed
I don't know if Roy went to the party that he was first declined a table at
I just don't get it
This is only partly correct. Entryism is like Palace fans joining our supporters club to shut it down, or vote to groundshare. Or indeed what's going on in Tower Hamlets, but that's another story. In some cases entryism is more obvious than others.
I'm a fierce advocate of democracy, and therefore I must accept the NF/BNP's right to exist, organise and meet whereever someone is prepared to provide the accommodation, even though I oppose what they stand for. It is, however, highly undemocratic should any party try to influence any other form of governance in this way.
Roy does sound embittered and saying things like it was 'police-backed' raises the obvious immediate question - why? And more to the point, what's the evidence for this other than perhaps some police defending their legal right to organise and meet.
Frankly, I'm really struggling to understand how this is in any way related to Ben Odeje, or indeed why it's so significant for society to recognise Odeje over Cunningham. I'm an advocate of the truth and I agree Odeje should be recognised as it seems it was broadly unknown - certainly I had no idea - but I'm really not sure what difference it makes to anyone except Odeje.
Maybe I'm missing the point, perhaps someone could enlighten me. Concisely.
Thank you for your email, it was good to meet you yesterday at 7 Bedford Row, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE Thames Gateway, City Challenge story, and for agreeing to hand the hard copies of my ticket for the event, and associated emails to your 'Head of Chambers' Simeon Maskrey QC.
I think we have all got that by now Roy. And great that he has been fully recognised now, although I'm yet to be convinced that he had been deliberately ignored.
But what on earth any of that has to do with the BNP and the old bill is still completely beyond me. Or why we keep having these updates about something that happened, or didn't happen, years ago.

Who knows? But it is worth mentioning that it is members of the PFA that elect their chairman in a vote. It seems unlikely that they would have chosen someone they see as "an absolute arsehole" doesn't it?

Er, I'm sure I never said those things, I know my memory isn't what it was.
However the creation of an oligarchy from democracy has been going on since Aristotle (and before him no doubt, he was the first to record it as far as I know). It is exactly the sort of thing that Unite are trying to achieve within the Labour party, the socialist workers party and militant tendency before them. What has this to do with Charlton?

He was lucky his reputation wasn't ruined when he was caught for drink driving a few years back. People have lost their lives in the past due to certain footballers getting behind the wheel after a heavy session. CC got relatively lucky in his case.

Learn something new everyday but a lot of the players who vote wouldn't have had to play with him week in week out, Apparently Craig Bellamy is one of the nicest guys you can meet but i'm sure wouldn't stand a chance if running for it, so maybe it can work both ways, I believe theirs no smoke without fire.
I have put a link to this thread on my facebook page for all my friends, and in particular for Ben Odeje, and all his family and friends too :
I promoted Ben Odeje's story at 7 Bedford Row WC1 last week where Kick It Out held their Embrace Diversity event. The point I made INSIDE Chambers was that Ben Odeje was the first black footballer to play for England at any level, and the first to step out on to the hallowed Wembley turf, his story therefore should be of interest to all who have followed, and all who hope to. I've recommended that Ben, his family and friends should read this http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/56179/kick-it-out-meeting-with-clark-carlise-the-current-chairman-of-the-pfa#latest
I also played for Bexley United at Park View, after I played for Charlton, since when Welling United have moved in, and kept up the good work . Welling is a much better place now that the BNP HQ/bookshop has been kicked out. Strategic Planning and Development records at Bexley Planning will confirm that in April 1995 I gave FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe) witness against the Welling NF/BNP "bookshop/HQ" at the Crayford Inquiry alongside Yre (Youth Against Racism in Europe). The very same week as the inquiry American neo-Nazi's exploded the Oklahoma bomb.
The Clark Carlisle that I met last week, was an intelligent young man who immediately grasped the full significance of the story that I told him about playing for Charlton Athletic with Ben Odeje, the first black footballer to play for England at any level, and then in later years getting involved in a legal fight for FARE JUSTICE NOT VENGEANCE after discovering that the NF/BNP were being allowed to use the Old Addeyans FC/Densitron International PLC clubhouse development in the 1990/91 season.

What's important is that a FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE development case INVOLVING Charlton Athletic actively exists.
From Ben Odeje the first black footballer to play for England 42 years ago http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-22648085 to this thread itself.
Here is the email that I sent to Paul Eeles at 7 Bedford Row http://www.7br.co.uk/expertise/sports-law.asp yesterday :
Dear Mr Eeles
Thank you for your email, it was good to meet you yesterday at 7 Bedford Row, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my FOOTBALL AGAINST RACISM IN EUROPE Thames Gateway, City Challenge story, and for agreeing to hand the hard copies of my ticket for the event, and associated emails to your 'Head of Chambers' Simeon Maskrey QC.

Embrace diversity....and build your winning team - Kick It Out event http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/comment/1568854#Comment_1568854 ,and I have also posted a new thread too... Kick It Out meeting with Clark Carlise, the current Chairman of the PFA http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/56179/kick-it-out-meeting-with-clark-carlise-the-current-chairman-of-the-pfa#latest

but why at a kick it out meeting which has its roots in football I don't get it
and what does this mean
police backed NF/BNP entry-ism
I am just trying make heads of it
at the minute it seems the mad ramblings of an intelligent man

On 28th May 2013 Mariana Linhan of FARE network published this critical story on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/farenetwork/posts/10151666779571240 and I published this on mine http://www.facebook.com/roy.hobson.965/posts/10151967189249569
Today I have forwarded Mariana a link to this REVEALING Charlton Life thread so that the FARE network are aware of contemporary developments.
