  • In here wishing I was in Edgeley having a post match beer.  Stockport is one of the better places to go for a drink.
This is a typical place for liquid refreshments.  Spirits galore, bottled lagers, nothing on tap.  As for an IPA or other you can forget it.
The booze is very cheap though, a lager on average is £2.50 for a 600ml bottle.

The last time I went was 2009? tbf but there were around 7 boozers 5 minutes from the ground and were no problems getting in.

    How was it for you?

Ah mate ignore me. I've just remembered the only reason we were in the spoons was because it was the only pub open when we got in at 10am 😂
  • Seen they've announced Wetherspoons opening pub in the London Dungeons old location by London Bridge.

How will be able to distinguish between the clientele and the old exhibits?

That is a cracking location for a Spoons tbf. I'm sure it'll do very well. Will probably benefit a lot of away fans heading to The Valley too

Will they be doing lock ins?

Loved going there as a kid in the 70's. I can smell the damp fetid air and feel the cold draughts now.

In many ways, nothing much will change.

That’ll piss off the rude cow governor in the Shipwrights.

    Good.
  • Wait? What? Where’s the London Dungeon now then? Don’t tell me it’s no longer? 😫

It’s moved to the old GLC building on the South Bank, near Waterloo
  • The Raglan has had a coat of paint on the outside now and looks like there may be a new life ahead for that one?  Hopefully as I could do with a decent pit stop walking up Burrage Road.

They moved it a few years ago, so that all the Merlin attractions were at Southbank.
